Based on the detected yaw rotation of the body, the robot may determine a measured yaw for the body. The robot may also determine a target yaw for the body, where the target yaw for the body is between the measured yaw for the body and the requested yaw for the body. The robot may then cause the foot to rotate the body to the target yaw for the body.

  • Patent number: 9352475
Abstract: A magnetic knife blade wiper, for use with knives of standard types and sizes, has a pair of wiper blades spaced apart in parallel to fit onto the side surfaces of a knife blade. A device housing is attached to upper ends of the pair of wiper blades and has a permanent magnet carried in a cavity therein for holding the wiper magnetically on the spine of the knife blade. The wiper can be moved along the blade toward the knifepoint to wipe off any food debris on the side surfaces of the blade. The wiper blade length is sized to be less than the height of the blade so that the wiper can remain in position proximate the hilt of the knife without interfering with cutting operations. The wiper blades have a thin profile so that, when positioned proximate the hilt of the knife, they do not project beyond the girth of the knife in order not to interfere with the user's sightlines or cutting operations.

  • Patent number: 9352476
Abstract: The hair clippers use a self-contained motor-driven adjustment mechanism to adjust the relative position of the stationary and reciprocating blades of a common type of blade set. Two momentary switches operable by the thumb of the hand holding the clipper afford a barber total automatic adjustment with the clipper itself in an on or off condition. Since the reversible gear train assembly may be operated by direct current, the adjustment feature is most compatible with cordless clippers already using an on-board DC source in the form of a re-chargeable battery to drive the reciprocating blade. The invention will be described as a modification of a cordless clipper, although AC driven corded type clippers can also be modified with this feature by the addition of an on-board AC to DC power supply for the adjustment motor.

  • Patent number: 9352491
Abstract: An encapsulation mold is provided, which may include an upper mold, a lower mold and a clamping device. The clamping device includes a rubber anti-slip block fixed to a joint surface of the upper mold, and a rubber anti-slip block fixed to a joint surface of the lower mold, wherein both of the rubber anti-slip blocks can fix the glass tightly. Therefore, after the upper mold and the lower mold are pressed against each other, these rubber anti-slip blocks may deform and apply a couple of forces having opposite directions to the glass. Under this couple of forces, the glass can be completely fixed in the encapsulation mold, which can avoid glass to be crushed caused by glass moving during injection molding. Meanwhile, because these rubber anti-slip blocks are elastic, they can play an anti-slip role and prop the glass, which may prevent the glass 40 from breakage.

  • Patent number: 9352494
Abstract: Provided is a molding die including a die body for molding a molded article, which has an undercut, and a demolding core movable to approach and separate from the die body. When the demolding core is separated from the die body, the demolding core elastically deforms the molded article such that the undercut separates from the die body and makes it possible to remove the molded article from the die body. The die body includes a recess where the depth gradually reduces along the direction in which the demolding core separates from the die body. During molding of the molded article, a projection is formed on the undercut in accordance with the shape of the recess. During removal of the molded article, the engagement between the projection and the recess regulates the movement of the molded article in a direction intersecting the movement direction of the demolding core.

Abstract: The application discloses methods of fabricating three-dimensional (3D) graphene crystalline foam, based on mixing a carbon source with a skelet (scaffold) powder. In one embodiment heat and pressure are used to compact the carbon and a metal powder into a close packed structure. In another embodiment a 3D crystalline graphene foam is fabricated with a large surface area (550 m2/g) from a 3D metal foam, depositing a layer of graphene using chemical vapor deposition (CVD), depositing a polymer support and removing the metal via wet chemical etching, such that the graphene retains the configuration, and then finally removing the polymer. A method of fabricating the metal foam framework and coating the metal with graphene are also disclosed.

Abstract: The cooling of injection molded plastic is targeted. Coolant flows into a porous medium disposed within an injection molding component via a porous medium inlet. The porous medium is thermally coupled to a mold cavity configured to receive injected liquid plastic. The porous medium beneficially allows for an increased rate of heat transfer from the injected liquid plastic to the coolant and provides additional structural support over a hollow cooling well. When the temperature of the injected liquid plastic falls below a solidifying temperature threshold, the molded component is ejected and collected.

  • Patent number: 9352506
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing hollow bodies from thermoplastic material, comprising the molding of at least two sheet-like, web-shaped preforms of plasticated thermoplastic material in a multi-part tool forming a cavity to form two complementary shells, and also the joining together of the shells to form a substantially closed hollow body, wherein the preforms are brought between open parts of the tool which each have part-cavities, the parts of the tool are then closed against a tool separator arranged between the preforms, and the preforms are inserted into the part-cavities with the use of differential pressure and molded. In a subsequent separate method step, the tools are reopened and internal components of the hollow body to be produced are fastened to the shells. Finally, the shells are joined together by reclosing the tools to form a closed hollow body.
