Abstract: A pallet jack has a forked platform with rollers embedded in the arms of the fork. The rollers are located at intervals from the front of the arms to the rear. The rollers work in conjunction with an inclined ramp, also having embedded rollers, attached to the front of the arms to lift a container onto the forks. Once a container is aligned in front of the inclined ramp, the pallet jack is driven forward. The momentum of the pallet jack, at standard speed, causes the inclined ramp to insert underneath the container and lifts the container onto the arms. The rollers allow the container to move into position on the pallet jack for transfer. An overlay platform may cover the host forks for standard pallet transfer. The overlay platform may have embedded rollers and can be rotated into position over a standard fork.

Abstract: A cylinder-and-piston assembly for a bottle attachment apparatus for handling liquids in which the stroke length of the piston of the cylinder-and-piston assembly is delimited by a stroke length stop when suctioning from the cylinder and is delimited by a readjustment stop when exhausting into the cylinder. The readjustment stop is disposed on the piston or on the cylinder housing and interacts with a fixed stop. The readjustment stop is accessible and adjustable by way of a removable seal. The seal is connected by way of ribs to a piston bearing. The readjustment stop is disposed below this removable seal. The seal has a molding and the piston bearing has a counter molding. Displacement of the seal in relation to the piston bearing moves the seal in the longitudinal direction, and by this movement, the seal is removed in a manner that preferably is not capable of re-assembly.

Abstract: Supply chain systems and methods are disclosed for monitoring fluid levels in liquid containers, such as kegs. Embodiments include sensors that fit within a keg's false bottom, measure the weight of the keg, and transmit the weight information to a computer database via a wireless network. Other embodiments include an RFID device with information about a characteristic of the liquid within a keg (such as brand and/or type of beer) that may be attached to the keg and paired with the sensor so the sensor can transmit information about the characteristic of the liquid in the keg. In alternate embodiments, the sensor's transmitter is short range and an uplink/gateway is used to receive information from the sensor and relay that sensor's information to a broader wireless network. Multiple containers in close proximity may each be fitted with an RFID device and sensor and communicate their individual information to the database.
