The opening tool also includes a main support portion coupled to the collar, a guide supported by the main support portion, the guide including a shaft support, a pin moveably disposed within the guide and a cam lever rotatably coupled to the guide by a shaft. The shaft extending through the cam lever. The shaft being supported by a shaft support. The cam lever including a cam surface in contact with a first end of the pin. The cam surface including a first flat surface, a second flat surface and a curved surface that extends between the first flat surface and the second flat surface.

Abstract: A faucet that includes a body, a tray, a valve, and a spout. The body includes a plurality of interconnected walls forming an internal cavity, with the plurality of walls comprising a front wall. The tray is provided on top of the body and extends beyond the front wall. The valve is provided in the cavity and is configured to control the flow of water through the faucet. The spout extends through the front wall and is provided underneath the tray. The spout is also fluidly connected to the valve to receive water therefrom.

One feature of the insert unit is that the jet splitter is configured as a pot-shaped diffuser which has a pot base serving as an impingement surface for deflecting the flow of water outwards and a circumferential wall having at least one through-flow opening that leads into an annular channel. The jet regulator has, in a circumferential wall of its jet regulator housing, at least one aeration channel with an outlet opening leads into the housing interior of the jet regulator housing. The opening edge of the channel outlet opening facing towards the housing outlet is arranged above a cross-sectional plane of the jet regulator housing that extends through the outlet-side front face of the jet splitter.

The invention further relates to the same apparatus that can be utilized for the maintenance of drains by capturing other foreign debris for removal from a sink drain. Other embodiments of the invention are also useful for preventing drains, such as shower drains, lavatories, and the like from being clogged with foreign matter; namely hair.

Abstract: An inlet valve with a shortened lifting lever and a method of shortening the lifting lever, wherein the inlet valve includes a main body with a compression hole and a waterway, a sealing pad and a float, wherein further comprising a shortened lifting lever mechanism that is rotatably connected to the main body. The shortened lifting lever has at least two stages of levers connected in driving manner. The float is coupled to the first stage lever in a linking manner, thus forming a dynamic body to drive the shortened lifting lever to move; the sealing pad is assembled to the last stage lever. The sealing pad closes the compression hole of the main body of the inlet valve or opens the compression hole with the movement of the shortened lifting lever when the float moves up and down.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a unique ventilated toilet assembly. The toilet assembly includes a base with a central opening, the opening defining a toilet bowl. The toilet assembly includes a first annular ring above the base, the first annular ring having means for delivering water to the toilet bowl and a second annular ring surrounding the first annular ring. The second annular ring having side walls, a top wall and a bottom wall, the walls defining a conduit for exhausting air through the second annular ring and the second annular ring having exhaust ports for exhausting air from the toilet bowl. The ventilation member includes the combination of the second annular ring, the conduit, and the exhaust port for exhausting air working cooperatively to capture and remove waste air from the toilet bowl.

Abstract: An in-toilet leak detector is disclosed, as are communication systems for reporting toilet leaks. The leak detector comprises an inlet that receives water from the toilet's fill tube and diverts it through a flow tube. A capacitative sensor is located between the inlet and an opening of the flow tube from which water flows into the overflow tube of the toilet tank. A housing is connected to the flow tube and the inlet and contains a controller and other electronics, including one or more transceivers. The leak detector measures the duration of water flow and establishes an alert if the water flow is shorter or longer in duration than a calibrated normal duration. The transceivers connect the leak detector to a computer network, and leak alerts are communicated to a server or servers so that they can be forwarded directly to those responsible for fixing the toilets.

With two identical percolation block elements that are aligned in the same direction, the first columns of the first percolation block element can be introduced into the second columns of the second percolation block element, and a stack of the two identical percolation block elements that are aligned in the same direction can be formed. The percolation block element has an axial symmetry of 180° or less when rotated about an axis of rotational symmetry (A1, A2, A4, A5).

Abstract: A method for setting up a wastewater pumping station in a wastewater shaft and a wastewater pumping station are provided. At least one solids-collecting tank which separates solids from wastewater containing solids, a liquids-collecting tank which received the treated wastewater from the at least one solids collecting tank, and a pump for emptying wastewater from the liquids-collecting tank via the solids-collecting tank, are produced as separate subassemblies. At least the solids-collecting tank and the pump are prefabricated in the form of a construction unit, and the construction unit is combined with the already on-site liquids-collecting tank during installation in the likewise already on-site wastewater shaft.

Abstract: A fence valve to catch material introduced into a pipe includes a housing defining a chamber and a catch plate disposed within the chamber that is movable with respect to the housing. The catch plate includes at least one magnetic region. The valve further includes a magnetic body in communication with at least a portion of the chamber, an indicator in communication with the catch plate, and a cable having a first end secured to the catch plate and a second end secured to a hook. The catch plate is transitionable from a first position in which the catch plate is disposed at a first location within the chamber, to a second position in which the catch plate is displaced from the first location. The catch plate is detachably held in the first position by interaction between the at least one magnetic region and the magnetic body.

Abstract: A precast segment suitable for block-stacking concept is disclosed. The precast segment includes a first surface, an opposite second surface, plural through holes, and plural male-female connecting sets. The through holes extend from the first surface and toward the second surface to communicate between the first surface and the second surface. Each male-female connecting set includes a shear key and a joint hole, wherein the shear key protrudes from one of the first surface and the second surface to serve as a male connecting unit, and the joint hole is formed in the other of the first surface and the second surface to serve as a female connecting unit. Accordingly, the precast segments can be block-stacked by mortise-and-tenon joints to construct a bridge pier system. Compared to the conventional construction methodology, the present invention can enhance the efficiency of segment fabrication and avoid high prestress force.

The room divider comprises hollow cylindrical elements (110) arranged periodically for dividing the room into the two sub-portions. At least some of the hollow cylindrical elements have a cylindrical shell (111) with at least one slit (112) extending in an axial direction (120) of the shell. The shell extends continuously along the perimeter of the corresponding hollow cylindrical element from one side (113) of the at least one slit to another side (114) of the at least one slit. Each of the at least one slit faces in a local elongation direction (130) of the room divider for increasing acoustic symmetry with respect to the two sub-portions. The use of destructive interference and resonance to attenuate sound allows for a less bulky/heavy acoustically absorbing room divider.

Abstract: The invention concerns a reinforced concrete element comprising an at least partially open-cell foamed, sound-absorbing material which is partially exposed on a surface of the concrete element. The surface on which the foamed material is exposed consists only partially of the foamed material and the reinforcement is partially surrounded by the foamed material. The invention further concerns a method of producing the concrete element and the use thereof as an acoustic ceiling in a building.

A plurality of braces are positioned in frame bays formed by respective pairs of columns and beams, each brace comprising a multi-piece brace having a plurality of brace portions. A plurality of discontinuous elastic zone connections couple the plurality of beams to the plurality of columns via the plurality of beam-to-column connections and/or couple pieces of the multi-piece brace together. Each of the discontinuous elastic zone connections comprises connection mechanisms and a compression element positioned on each connection mechanism, with each compression element comprising a single component or a plurality of deformable components in a parallel stack, a series stack, or a combination of parallel stacks and series stacks. The compression element is configured to provide elasticity in the structural frame and dampen the effects of transient loads on the structural frame.

At least some of the connectors can comprise a plurality of Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectors that provide both network connectivity and power to the devices. At least some of the connectors can comprise a plurality of fiber-optic cable connectors that provide network connectivity to the devices via the fiber-optic cable. In the fiber-optic cable connector structure, power is provided directly by the ceiling support itself which is formed of a conductive material and referred to as a power distribution bar. Each rail terminates at a hub referred to as a fog junction box that serves the power and networking for the ceiling support.

Abstract: The present disclosure concerns specially patterned zinc sheets for coverage and protection of building roofs and facades. A recurrent problem linked with the use of zinc sheets in building applications is the development of white rust. As the complete avoidance of white rust is difficult to achieve, additional means to reduce its impact are most welcome. It is now proposed to limit the visibility of white rust by providing a camouflaging pattern on the surface of the zinc. The invention more specifically concerns an unweathered rolled zinc alloy sheet with at least one patterned face having an optical reflectivity that varies from region to region, characterized in that said regions are of a pseudo-random shape, having characteristic dimensions in the range of 0.1 mm to 10 cm; and in that the optical reflectivity, when measured across the sheet in any arbitrary direction, presents a specular reflectivity RMS deviation of more than 3 GU and/or a diffuse reflectivity RMS deviation of more than 0.2.

Abstract: A plug assembly for a lock includes a generally cylindrical plug body that defines a keyway and a generally cylindrical plug housing that rotatably receives the plug body, A plurality of blocking members are housed in the plug body and are movable into the keyway upon rotation of the plug body relative to the plug housing to obstruct the keyway. A key can be provided that is positionable into the keyway, and the blade of the key defines receptacles for receiving the blocking members when the plug body is rotated so that the lock can be unlocked. However, the blocking members prevent rotation of the plug body when a picking tool or unauthorized key is inserted in the keyway since either the blocking members cannot move into the keyway and remain engaged to the plug housing due to the object in the keyway, or obstruct the keyway and prevent insertion of the picking tool.
