Abstract: Disclosed is an anti-tip chair leg device that is attachable to the foot of a chair's rear leg, to prevent or reduce the risk of the chair tipping over backwards. This feature of the device is especially beneficial when a child is using the chair. The anti-tip chair leg device has a leg receiver housing mounted on a footplate. The leg receiver housing has means to grip the lower (or foot) portion of a leg of the chair leg received into the leg receiver housing. The grip means holds the foot of the chair leg in place when the chair leg is received in the leg receiver housing. The footplate then acts to shift the distance of a tipping moment-arm of the chair backward and away from the center of mass of the chair and increase the force required to tip the chair backward.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a mounting structure for display device. The mounting structure comprises at least two mounting assemblies, and each mounting assembly comprises: a first component mounted securely to the display device; a second component mounted to a beam; and a first screw rod mounted horizontally to the first component, the first screw rod being configured to be rotatable but non-displaceable relative to the first component. The second component is configured to be mounted to the first screw rod in a non-rotatable manner. Embodiments of the present invention further disclose a wall-mounted display device comprising a display device and the mounting structure.

Abstract: A supplemental restraint system that is mountable to the frame of a stationary structure, such as a police station or other building, to secure a prisoner in a seated position. The supplemental restraint system includes a restraint bar that is pivotally supported on the mounting plate for movement between a raised inoperative position and a lowered operative position. A locking mechanism secures the restraint bar in any selected lowered position and includes an actuation lever for selectively releasing the locking mechanism to permit the restraint bar to be raised for release of the prisoner. A spring mechanism biases the restraint bar toward a raised position so that the restraint bar can be moved upwardly while the police officer is outside of the police vehicle. Mounting plates can be utilized to secure the supplemental restraint system to the floor structure and an adjacent wall structure.

Abstract: A smart postal mailbox device is disclosed that incorporates a camera and an imaging processing capability. When the device is in place inside a postal mailbox and is activated by a content element being placed in, or removed from, the mailbox, the camera obtains an image of the interior of the mailbox, which it then analyzes by first using pre-processing to correct for geometric distortion. The image is then decomposed using vision related algorithms into a discreet information dataset. This discrete data set is compared to previous data sets using a neural decision tree. If appropriate, the device transmits a message informing a remote user of the current state of the mailbox.

Abstract: A power transfer system to facilitate the transfer of electrical power between tree trunk sections of an artificial tree is disclosed. The power transfer system can advantageously enable neighboring tree trunk sections to be electrically connected without the need to rotationally align the tree trunk sections. Power distribution systems can be disposed within the trunk sections. The power distribution systems can comprise a male end, a female end, or both. The male ends can have prongs and the female ends can have voids. The prongs can be inserted into the voids to electrically connect the power distribution systems of neighboring tree trunk sections. In some embodiments, the prongs and voids are designed so that the prongs of one power distribution system can engage the voids of another power distribution system without the need to rotationally align the tree trunk sections.

Abstract: A delivery head for a beverage preparation machine comprising: an upwardly directed inlet for supplying water to a cartridge received in the delivery head; a downwardly directed outlet for outflow of beverage; a barcode reader having a barcode reader window through which signals may be transmitted; wherein the inlet, the outlet and the barcode reader window are arranged in a line with the outlet being intermediate the inlet and the barcode reader window.

Abstract: A coffee machine (100), particularly suitable to be used in catering establishments or the like, is described, comprising a machine body (10) provided with a delivering assembly (30) for delivering coffee, at least one boiler (20) designed to heat the water up to the working temperature and means (25) for drawing water from the boiler (20) and supplying the same to the delivering assembly (30). The boiler (20) is arranged outside of the machine body (10) and remotely therefrom such that the overall dimensions on the working surface are considerably reduced and a simple replacement or interchangeability of the various components is allowed.
