In addition to the activation of the service brake, the activation signal is immediately fed to a brake control of the passenger transportation system, so that, upon the occurrence of the activation signal, the brake control switches a drive machine of the passenger transportation system into a motor-brake operating mode. The drive machine is only switched by the brake control into a braking-torque-free state when a braking effect of the service brake on moving components of the passenger transportation system is detected and transmitted to the brake control.

If regenerative operation can be performed, the flow control valve is closed and hydraulic fluid is delivered to the hydraulic pump/motor. If regenerative operation cannot be performed, the flow control valve is opened and hydraulic fluid is delivered to the hydraulic fluid tank. In either case, the fork can be lowered at an instructed speed.

    Abstract: A method for transferring a carbon nanotube array is provided. A substitute substrate, a growing substrate, and a carbon nanotube array grown on the growing substrate are provided. The carbon nanotube array has a bottom surface adjacent to the growing substrate and a top surface away from the growing substrate. The substitute substrate is placed on the top surface of the carbon nanotube array and PVA solution is sandwiched between the substitute substrate and the carbon nanotube array. The PVA solution is frozen between the substitute substrate and the carbon nanotube array. The substitute substrate is separated from the growing substrate to separate the bottom surface of the carbon nanotube array from the growing substrate. The solvent in the solid PVA solution is removed and only PVA is left between the substitute substrate and the carbon nanotube array. A method for forming a carbon nanotube structure is also provided.

    Abstract: A device and process for crystallizing a compound using hydrodynamic cavitation comprises the steps of mixing at least one stream of a feed stock solution containing the compound to be crystallized. The feed stock solution is caused to flow through the cavitation zone of a rotor-stator type hydrodynamic cavitation device. Cavitation events and resulting shock waves generated in the cavitation zone cause nucleation and the production of seed crystals within the solution. Possible recirculation of the solution through the cavitation device promotes crystallization at the sites of the seed crystals resulting in increasing larger crystals. The resulting crystalized compound can be extracted from the solution and used in product manufacturing and industrial processes. The rotor-stator design allows for high flow rates, high applied energy and robust service with minimized wear.
