Abstract: An electronic device includes a first positioning-information acquiring module, a second positioning-information acquiring module, and a switching control unit. The first positioning-information acquiring module acquires positioning information based on a first positioning system which is GPS. The second positioning-information acquiring module acquires positioning information based on a second positioning system which is GLONASS. The switching control unit determines the reception state of at least one of positioning information based on the first positioning system and positioning information based on the second positioning system. Based on this determination result, the switching control unit sets any one of positioning based on any one of the first positioning system and the second positioning system and positioning based on both of the first positioning system and the second positioning system.

A first detector (3) generates first detection events and detection times assigned to the first detection events and a second detector (6) generates second detection events and detection times assigned to the second detection events. A timing window determination unit (11) provides a first-second timing window by providing a first-second upper threshold based on the position of the second detector relative to the first detector and a detection event pairs generation unit (12) generates first-second detection event pairs based on the provided first-second timing window, wherein the first-second detection event pairs are used for reconstructing the PET image. Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for automatically detecting and quantifying materials in containers (e.g., luggage, storage containers, equipment or componentry for processing or handling). An X-ray radiograph of a container is generated. A set of materials of interest (e.g., plutonium, steel) is selected to determine if the object comprises or contains materials of interest. An estimate of the areal densities or thicknesses of each of the selected materials of interest is obtained by minimizing an objective function with respect to the areal densities or thicknesses for each of the selected materials of interest. Adaptive regularization is implemented in the objective function to improve optimization results by adding a constraint to the objective function, where the constraint penalizes the objective function for solutions that do not line up with a prior belief about the solution form (e.g., the solution should not be negative or especially noisy).

Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystalline polymer film where noise caused by diffraction light is removed. The liquid crystalline polymer film is configured to include a first liquid crystalline polymer film formed by simultaneously performing a bottom-up alignment method by a lower alignment film and a top-down alignment method by using a groove structure and a second liquid crystalline polymer film formed on an upper portion of the first liquid crystalline polymer film by overcoating. The second liquid crystalline polymer film is configured so as to satisfy a refractive index matching condition with respect to the first liquid crystalline polymer film, so that noise caused by undesired diffraction phenomenon generated by the groove structure on the upper surface of the first liquid crystalline polymer film is removed.
