Abstract: Systems and methods for an interactive game using a multi-functional hand-held personal mobile device, such as a smart phone or entertainment device use the smart phone or other mobile device to find and/or activate various effects and items in the real world, then connect those items and effects together to provide a purpose to finding the effects/items consistent with the game theme. Embodiments include themes related to a treasure hunt with items that may or may not respond to the player detecting or finding them. In other embodiments, the mobile device may trigger and activate multiple layers of videos, phone calls, internet access, texts, voiceovers, puzzles and numerous other actions and results tied into a complex gaming adventure.

In one example, a computer-implemented method to allocate rendering tasks to resources of a server system comprise determining at least a portion of a first game world view viewable at a first game client of a plurality of game clients, receiving at least a portion of a game input from the first game client, determining a change from the first game world state to a second game world state, determining based on the second game world state, by the server system, a second game world view, determining a first render task to update the first game element and a second render task to update the second game element and allocating, the first render task to a first game element resource and the second render task to a second game element resource.

Abstract: A method and system to host a computer-implemented multiplayer game includes functionality to identify and resolve conflicts resulting from asynchronous game play. Client system game state information that changes responsive to in-game actions performed on a client system is intermittently synchronized with authoritative game state information, during which the in-game actions may be validated. Actions that fail a prerequisite check based on the authoritative game state information are analyzed in automated fashion to determine whether they are redundant actions that fail the prerequisite check owing to their having been performed with respect to outdated client system game state information. One or more remedial actions are performed for respective redundant actions, e.g., by allowing the redundant action and modifying the game state, by restoring spent resources to affected players, or by disallowing both the redundant action and an associated preempting action.

Abstract: An imaging system includes a video camera having a wide field of view lens, an imaging sensor operable to form a first image having a first pixel area, and an interface operable to receive commands from a host entertainment device. The video camera is operable to receive a command requesting at least one secondary image having a second pixel area for a 3D mapping of a portion of the first image. The system includes a graphics processor operable to perform the 3D mapping to generate the at least one each secondary image from the first image. The 3D mapping transforms a section of the first image depicting a surface having a normal in a first direction to form a secondary image in which the normal of that surface faces directly out of the secondary image.

Abstract: A game apparatus calculates a load value detected by a load controller, and a center-of-gravity position of a player, at predetermined time intervals. Based on the calculated center-of-gravity position, the game apparatus firstly determines whether or not the center of gravity moves, and determines the direction of the movement. Then, the game apparatus determines a change of the load of the player within a predetermined time period. When the amount of increase of the load is equal to or higher than a threshold value, the game apparatus determines that the player swings his/her hip in the direction in which the center of gravity moves.

Abstract: Virtual entities are displayed alongside real world entities in a wearable reality overlay device worn by the user. Information related to an environment proximate to the wearable device is determined. For example, a position of the wearable device may be determined, a camera may capture an image of the environment, etc. Virtual entity image information representative of an entity desired to be virtually displayed is processed based on the determined information. An image of the entity is generated based on the processed image information as a non-transparent region of a lens of the wearable device, enabling the entity to appear to be present in the environment to the user. The image of the entity may conceal a real world entity that would otherwise be visible to the user through the wearable device. Other real world entities may be visible to the user through the wearable device.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a content-related information display system capable of acquiring related information corresponding to contents, such as a game, during a reproduction of the contents by a first apparatus without stopping the reproduction of the contents by the first apparatus. The first apparatus displays the contents on a first display. When a predetermined condition is satisfied during the reproduction of the contents, the first apparatus transmits reproducing status information on a reproducing status of the content to a second apparatus. The different viewing modes may include a magnified view of the environment, an unmagnified view, and/or a magnified view combined with an unmagnified view. The different viewing modes may include a model of a user controlled object which mimics the movement of the user controlled object to provide the user with information regarding the positioning or orientation of the user controlled object with respect to the user's current view. In the different viewing modes, a potential damage indicator may be provided on a targeted object to indicate potential damage to the targeted object based on a current weapon selection.

Projecting portions extend from one side and receptacles are located in another side of the main body. In one embodiment, the building component includes a first portion of a first material and a second portion of a second material. The different materials have different properties, and in some embodiments, different colors. The portions may be co-molded together to form the building component.

An outer housing encloses a plurality of separation chambers. An inlet port delivers the composite fluid through an elongated spillway into the sump of the chambers. Positioned between the inlet and the outlet of each chamber is a plurality of stacked baffles, composed of individual separation flow plates, placed in an inclined relationship. The plurality of baffles creates a flow path in which the composite fluid is forced to flow over each of the individual separation flow plates as the fluid travels upward in the separation chamber toward the outlet port shearing the liquid causing coalescence and coagulation of liquids due to their density and/or viscosity.

The filter may be housed inside a filter housing and the acoustic wave generator may produce ultrasonic, megasonic or other acoustic energy. The acoustic wave generator contacts or is in close proximity with the filter housing and provides acoustic wave energy to the filter through the housing. The acoustic wave energy causes any bubbles in the filter to become disengaged.

Abstract: An underdrain system for transferring forces and directing flow includes at least one underdrain block having a top wall, a bottom wall, and two side walls connecting the top wall to the bottom wall to define a block interior. An insert is disposed in the interior of the underdrain block. The insert includes force-transmitting buttresses spaced along an exterior of the insert that contacts the two side walls of the underdrain block and act to transfer downward forces acting on the top wall of the underdrain block and internal fluid forces acting on the insert to the side walls of the underdrain block. The force-transmitting buttresses can also direct hydraulic flow.

Abstract: Liquid filter assemblies, features, components and methods are described. In general, a liquid filter cartridge is provided which includes features that help ensure that when the assembly is serviced, the cartridge positioned within the assembly is a proper one, in proper sealing orientation, for appropriate use. Features that can be used to provide for this include: a seal on the filter cartridge that defines a seal pattern non-orthogonal to a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the filter cartridge; and, a member of a projection/receiver arrangement on the filter cartridge which is orientated to engage a portion of a liquid filter assembly, for example a liquid flow collar, to allow sealing when the cartridge is a properly positioned cartridge and a properly configured cartridge. Assembly features are described. Also, a flexible radial projection arrangement providing snap-fit interaction between a cartridge and housing is provided. Methods of assembly and use as described.

Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning air filters utilizes a pressurized fluid flow, preferably air, to rotate a set of air spraying jets inside a hollow interior of a filter in order to remove particles from the filter. To ensure proper positioning of the jets in relation to the filter the present invention uses a set of plates with slots and pins, wherein the pins secure the apparatus on one end of the filter. The set of plates also at least partially blocks the flow of air out of the ends to more efficiently direct the flow of air from the jets to the filter. The jets then may be moved reciprocally along the length of the filter for cleaning purposes.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved process for removing siloxanes from a biogas feed comprising (i) passing a gas feed through an adsorbent bed having an adsorbent having an inert surface to adsorb onto the adsorbent at least a portion of the siloxanes in the gas feed; and (ii) regenerating the adsorbent by removing siloxanes from the adsorbent. The adsorbent surface is rendered inert or nearly inert preferably via calcination.

Abstract: A pressure swing adsorption apparatus for treatment of gases is disclosed. It includes a main inlet for receiving a flow of gas and one or more adsorption columns containing adsorption material. The columns are connected by a channel and the channel has an annular recess therein to receive a valve. The valve includes a support member formed from a pair of truncated cones and having slots extending therethrough. The valve also has a tubular membrane that surrounds the support member and is movable, in response to pneumatic pressure applied to the membrane, between a first position in which the membrane does not block the slots thereby allowing the gases to flow and a second position in which the membrane blocks the slots thereby preventing said gases from flowing through the valve.

Abstract: A transition metal carboxylate scavenger may be used to scavenge contaminants from systems from mixed production and/or gas, either dry or wet hydrocarbon gas. The contaminants scavenged or otherwise removed may include, but are not necessarily limited to, H2S, mercaptans, sulfides, and combinations thereof. Suitable transition metal carboxylates in the scavenger include, but are not limited to, zinc octoate, zinc dodecanoate, zinc naphthenate, and combinations thereof.

Abstract: An industrial packed column for gas stream processing to remove a component by liquid absorbent contact includes: a. a plurality of packed tubular members having ends aligned in vertical parallel array to form a first bundle, b. an upper lean absorption liquid inlet and lower rich absorption liquid outlet; c. a raw gas feed inlet positioned below the packing material, connected to a raw feed gas manifold via control valves for selectively admitting the feed gas to one or more of the plurality of tubular members, d. an upper treated gas outlet, connected via valved conduit to (i) a treated gas collection manifold and (ii) the raw gas inlet of one or more of the other tubular members, and the apparatus equipped with appropriate systems so that desired portions of the treated gas stream exiting a tubular member can be passed for further treatment to at least one other tubular member in the first bundle.

The oxidation catalyst (DOC) has a catalyst layer where platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) and barium oxide (BaO) are supported on alumina (Al2O3) having a pore size of 12 to 120 nm, and ratio of platinum and palladium is 1:1 to 11:2 in weight equivalent.

Abstract: A process for desorbing CO2 gas from an ion-rich aqueous mixture comprising bicarbonate and hydrogen ions, includes providing micro-particles in the ion-rich aqueous mixture; and feeding the ion-rich aqueous mixture into a desorption reactor; the micro-particles comprising a support material and biocatalysts supported and stabilized by the support material and being sized and provided in a concentration in the desorption reactor such that the micro-particles are carried with the ion-rich aqueous mixture to promote transformation of the bicarbonate and hydrogen ions into CO2 gas and water, thereby producing a CO2 gas stream and an ion-depleted solution.

The process comprises providing the high selectivity epoxysilicone-cross-linked polyimide membrane which is permeable to the at least one gas; contacting the mixture on one side of the membrane to cause the at least one gas to permeate the membrane; and removing from the opposite side of the membrane a permeate gas composition comprising a portion of the at least one gas which permeated the high selectivity epoxysilicone-cross-linked polyimide membrane.
