    Abstract: Compact modular cassette systems and methods for the synthesis of radiopharmaceutical products are provided, the compact modular cassette system including a modular unit having valve plates, a reaction cassette, a reagent pack, and other seal and connector plates to ensure that reagents can be mixed together inside one or more chambers of the reaction cassette in a timely and efficient manner. When a new chamber for each new reaction or process should be used, a valveless modular system having removable reaction cassettes and the reagent packs may be used. In such a system, the reagent container, the reaction cassette, or both, can be removed from the modular cassette system and discarded after a desired reaction or process has taken place.

    Abstract: The metal organic framework adsorbent for solar adsorption refrigeration is a nanocomposite made from a metal organic framework matrix having carbon nanotubes incorporated therein. Preferably, the metal organic framework is composed of MIL-100(Fe), and the carbon nanotubes are functionalized with carboxyl (COOH) groups. In order to prepare the metal organic framework adsorbent, carbon nanotubes functionalized with carboxyl (COOH) groups are first added to an aqueous solution of a precursor salt, such as ferric trinitrate nonahydrate (Fe(NO3)3.9H2O), to form a first mixture. The first mixture is then sonicated and a 1,3,5 benzenetricarboxylic acid ligand is added thereto to form a second mixture. The second mixture is then sonicated and heated, and the metal organic framework nanocomposite is separated therefrom, preferably as a powder.

    Abstract: A new adsorbent CO2-ONE for removal of acidic gases such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide was developed from hydrothermal reaction of natural limestone with natural kaolin via sodium hydroxide. Several synthesis conditions were employed such as initial concentration of NaOH, weight ratio of limestone to kaolin, reaction temperature and pressure. The produced Ca—Na—SiO2-Al2O3 samples were characterized using XRD and EDS and showed that a mixture of Gehlenite Ca2Al(Al1.22Si0.78O6.78)OH0.22 and Stilbite Na5.76Ca4.96(Al15.68Si56.32O144) with percentage of 43 and 57 was successfully produced, respectively. Another produced sample showed the presence of Gehlenite Ca2Al(Al1.22Si0.78O6.78)OH0.22, Stilbite Na5.76Ca4.96(Al15.68Si56.32O144) and Lawsonite CaAl2Si2O7OH2(H2O) with percentage of 4.1 and 7.4 and 88, respectively.

    Abstract: A pump 24 with speed control is utilized. A dispenser 12 may have a trigger 14 which actuates a valve 16. Dispenser control 18 has “up” and “down” buttons, 20 and 22 respectively. The controls 28(comprising elements 18, 20 and 22) for the pump 24 are remote from pump 24. The controls communicate with the pump via wires or radio frequency (RF) 26 to regulate pump speed. Quick button (20 and 22) presses will incrementally change the flow setting while long button (20 and 22) presses will change the settings at a higher rate. This control method can also be tied to the controls located on the pump 24. The potentiometer 30 on the pump 24 will set a max setting, and any adjustments at the valve can go below this setting and back up to it, but never exceed it.

The cushion may also include a plurality of voids that facilitate deformation and shock absorption.
