    Abstract: A liquid crystal display and a double sided tape therefor are provided. The liquid crystal display comprises: a liquid crystal panel; a backlight unit comprising a back plate, a set of optical films, and a frame; and a double sided tape comprising a first surface coated with a first adhesive and connected to the liquid crystal panel through the first adhesive, and a second surface coated with a second adhesive and connected to the back plate and the set of optical films respectively through the second adhesive. The adhesion strength of the first adhesive on the liquid crystal panel is lower than that of the second adhesive on the set of optical films. After the backlight unit is separated from the liquid crystal panel, the double sided tape can be left on the optical films and the frame. Therefore, the position relationship among the films within the set of optical films would not be damaged, ensuring that the reassembled liquid crystal display can work normally.

    Abstract: An image display device is manufactured by: applying a liquid photo-curable resin composition having a total value of cure shrinkage ratios based on pre-curing and complete curing of 3% or more to a surface of the light-transmitting cover member or a surface of the image display member with a thickness greater than that of the light-shielding layer to cancel the step between the light-shielding layer and the light-shielding layer forming surface of the light-transmitting cover member; pre-curing the photo-curable resin composition with the irradiation of ultraviolet rays to form a pre-cured resin layer; bonding the light-transmitting cover member to the image display member such that the pre-cured resin layer is placed inside; and subjecting the pre-cured resin layer to the irradiation of ultraviolet rays to achieve the complete curing thereof. The pre-curing is conducted to obtain a cure shrinkage ratio less than 3% in the complete curing thereof.

    Abstract: This invention discloses a liquid crystal display (LCD) device and a method of manufacturing the same. The LCD device comprises a first substrate and a second substrate opposing each other, and a nematic liquid crystal layer disposed therebetween and comprising a nematic liquid crystal and a polymer network. The polymer network is formed by irradiation polymerization of a functional monomer in a nematic liquid crystal mixture. The polymer network can reduce the scattering phenomena caused by the refractive index mismatch between liquid crystal and polymer in the prior LCD devices and significantly reduce the dark-state light leakage, so that the contrast is improved. Moreover, since there is no polymer projection disposed on the alignment layer according to the invention, the dark-state light leakage caused by polymer projections is avoided and thus the contrast is further improved.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a liquid crystal display and the vertical alignment liquid crystal panel thereof. The liquid crystal panel includes a first substrate having at least one pixel electrode and at least one common electrode, and a second substrate having at least one twisted electrode. When being applied with the voltage, a tilt electrical field is formed between the twisted electrode and the common electrode such that the vertically aligned liquid crystals are controlled to reorientate. In this way, the dark stripes of the liquid crystal panel may be eliminated so as to enhance the transmission rate.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an array substrate and a method of repairing broken lines for the array substrate. By preserving the via on the organic layer corresponding to the cross point of the source-drain data line and the common electrode line, the aperture formed with the second passivation layer deposed in the via is employed to be the laser welding point as the source-drain data line is broken. After detecting the broken line position of the source-drain, the laser welding is implemented to the apertures at two ends of the broken line position to lap the source-drain data line with the closed ring of the common electrode line, and meanwhile, the connection lines at two sides of the closed ring of the common electrode line is cut with laser, and the closed ring of the common electrode line is employed to repair the broken line part of the source-drain data line.

    Abstract: The present invention includes a Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) linear driver configured in a differential form with two waveguides carrying two traveling waves which supports a two-channel spectral combiner integrated with a wavelength locker.
