Publication number: 20160377356Abstract: A flexible and transformable water-cooling device includes a liquid reservoir case and a heat exchange unit. The liquid reservoir case is for a cooling liquid to pass therethrough. The liquid reservoir case has a flexible section, which can be flexed. The flexible section has a first end and a second end opposite to each other. A first region outward extends from the first end. The heat exchange unit is disposed in the first region and has multiple radiating fins in contact with the cooling liquid passing through the first region. Due to the flexibility of the flexible section of the water-cooling device, the water-cooling device can be freely flexed and transformed in accordance with an existent space in an electronic device. Therefore, the water-cooling device can be adaptively disposed in the electronic device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 25, 2015Publication date: December 29, 2016Inventors: Jianwu Yin, Rongxian Zhang

Publication number: 20160377386Abstract: This invention concerns a device for the transmission of impulse and momentum, e.g. from a shock wave from an explosion or momentum from objects impacting the device, from one location to another, and is primarily used to protect vehicles, ships, aircrafts and buildings against impulse and/or momentum, for instance in regards to attacks on those with grenades, bombs, mines and the like. The governing physical principles are those of conservation of momentum and energy, and Newton's 3rd Law, claiming that for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. When the receiver 1 is accelerated by the incoming shock wave 9 it collides with the transmitter 2, connected to an emitter 3, momentum is transferred to the emitter 3. If the transfer is in itself not sufficient to bring the receiver's 1 velocity to an acceptable level, additional energy and momentum is added through the transmitter 2.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2016Publication date: December 29, 2016Inventors: Dorthe Wolter Svane, Jorgen Leif Svane

Publication number: 20160377401Abstract: A method for generating power in a gravity dropped munition. The method including: attaching a cable from a generator associated with the munition to a portion of an aircraft; separating the munition from the aircraft to pull the cable from the munition; converting the pulling of the cable to a rotation; producing power from the rotation; and providing the power to an internal component of the munition.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2016Publication date: December 29, 2016Applicant: Omnitek Partners LLCInventors: Jahangir S. Rastegar, Richard T. Murray

Publication number: 20160377402Abstract: A munition including: a shell; and a generator including: a drum having a cable with a free end, the drum includes a drum gear, the cable releasing from the drum when unwound; a spring for storing energy as the cable is unwound; a generator connected to the drum such that drum rotation is transferred to an input of the generator after the cable is unwound and stored energy in the spring turns the member, the generator includes an input gear connected to the drum gear; and a clutch having an input gear engaged with the drum gear and an output gear engaged with the generator input gear, wherein the clutch transfers rotation of the clutch input gear to rotation of the clutch output gear after the cable is unwound and released from the drum and the stored energy in the spring turns the drum.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2016Publication date: December 29, 2016Applicant: Omnitek Partners LLCInventors: Jahangir S. Rastegar, Richard T. Murray

Publication number: 20160377403Abstract: A method for providing electrical energy in a projectile upon an expulsion acceleration of the projectile. The method including: using a firing acceleration of the projectile to deform at least one elastic element to store mechanical energy in the elastic element; locking the elastic element in the deformed position; and unlocking the elastic element due to the expulsion acceleration to vibrate the at least one elastic element and apply a cyclic force to at least one piezoelectric element to convert the stored mechanical energy to electrical energy.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 11, 2016Publication date: December 29, 2016Applicant: Omnitek Partners LLCInventors: Jahangir S Rastegar, Richard T Murray, Chris Janow, Richard Dratler

Publication number: 20160377404Abstract: The invention concerns a control ring to verify a fastener comprising an enlarged head and a cylindrical shaft extending along an axis, the shaft comprising at least one band of coating parallel to axis (A), the band extending over a circumferential width. The ring comprises a cylindrical tubular body extending along an axis of revolution (B) and two opposite extremities, a first extremity comprising two adjacent arc segments, each arc segment having an end wall extending in a plane perpendicular to the axis of revolution (B) of the ring, the planes of the two walls not being one and the same and axially offset from the first extremity. Each arc segment comprises at least one side wall extending over a radial plane going through the axis of revolution (B) of the ring. The width of an arc segment makes it possible to verify a minimum band width, and the width of the two arc segments makes it possible to verify a maximum band width.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 22, 2016Publication date: December 29, 2016Applicant: LISI AEROSPACEInventors: Alexandre Berthou, Martial Broucke, Christophe Payard

Publication number: 20160377405Abstract: A measuring tool for buildings comprises a body, an electronic reading device, and a probe. The body has a plate, and the plate has two ends and a pushing part. The pushing part is formed on one of the ends of the plate. The electronic reading device is slidably mounted on the plate of the body. The probe is connected to the body and the electronic reading device and has a sharp end and a connecting end. The sharp end of the probe is mounted through the pushing part of the plate. The connecting end of the probe is connected to the electronic reading device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2015Publication date: December 29, 2016Inventor: Ming-Hsiung Chen
