Abstract: A first component originally has a persistency decoupled from a persistency of a second component. The second component requires a table from the persistency of the first component. The first component is assigned a first database schema and the second component is assigned a second database schema. A table link is created in the second database schema of the second component, wherein the table link refers to the required table from the first database schema of the first component.

Abstract: Increasing the efficiency of performing queries on databases by eliminating partitions during a database query. The database query configured to access a database table having one or more columns and one or more rows, the database query including a condition on a specified basis column. The database table being partitioned on the basis of the specified column, the specified column having one or more distinct values and the partitioning including mapping, by the at least one programmable processor, individual ones of the one or more distinct values to individual partitions causing each row in the table to be mapped to a specific partition. Candidate partitions and guaranteed partitions can be identified. The database query can be applied only to candidate partitions. The adaptive table placement can occur in response to changing workloads on the NUMA nodes. For example, if a particular NUMA node is saturated, a database table may be moved from the memory of the saturated NUMA node to the memory of another NUMA node that is underutilized. A database object being modified by the given transaction is determined, whilst executing the given transaction at the given node. Subsequently, a given owner cluster assigned to the database object is determined. Next, it is determined whether or not the given node is included in a primary component of the given owner cluster. The given transaction is committed at the given node for the given owner cluster, when the given node is included in the primary component of the given owner cluster. Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology for facilitating query optimization in a distributed data processing system to efficiently and precisely compute predicate push down and partition pruning A query operation is performed to locate data in the data processing system, thereby generating a predicate. Critical points of the predicate are determined based on data stored in the system, and critical point ranges are formed from a sorted sequence of each of the critical points. The predicate is evaluated using the critical points to qualify the critical point ranges, and a reduction is applied to the predicate during partial evaluation to produce reduced predicates on the qualified critical point ranges. The qualified critical point ranges are compared and matched to range partitions of data stored in the distributed system to qualify the range partitions. The reduced predicate is processed against the data in the qualified range partitions to obtain a query result.

Abstract: A scalable analysis system is described herein that performs common data analysis operations such as distinct counts and data grouping in a more scalable and efficient manner. The system allows distinct counts and data grouping to be applied to large datasets with predictable growth in the cost of the operation. The system dynamically partitions data based on the actual data distribution, which provides both scalability and uncompromised performance. The system sets a budget of available memory or other resources to use for the operation. As the operation progresses, the system determines whether the budget of memory is nearing exhaustion. Upon detecting that the memory used is near the limit, the system dynamically partitions the data. If the system still detects memory pressure, then the system partitions again, until a partition level is identified that fits within the memory budget.

Abstract: A computer implemented method, computer program product and system for data quality monitoring includes measuring a data quality of loaded data relative to a predefined data quality metric. The measuring the data quality includes identifying delta changes in at least one of the loaded data and the data quality rules relative to a previous measurement of the data quality of the loaded data. Logical calculus defined in the data quality rules is applied to the identified delta changes.

Abstract: Systems and methods for utilizing compliance drivers to conserve system resources are provided. Data that corresponds to a pre-determined historical period may be used. A method may extract issue information, regulations data, operations loss data, drivers data, pending activities data and/or pending examinations data. The method may perform a plurality of transformations on the issue information, the drivers data, the regulations data, and the operations loss. The transformations may apply enterprise compliance hierarchy information and transform the data associated with the issue information, the drivers data, the regulations data, and the operations loss data into quarterly information. The method may include performing transformations on issue information, regulations data, operations loss data and drivers data. The method may perform final transformations in order to either allocate resources to remediate a compliance trend, remediate a compliance projection, or correct a current compliance issue.

Abstract: A method of data analysis is enabled by receiving raw data records extracted from one or more data sources, and then generating from the data records an entity-relationship model. The entity-relationship model comprises more entity instances, and one or more relationships between those entity instances. Data analysis of the model is facilitated using one or more provenance links. A provenance link associates raw data records and one or more entity instances. Using a visual explorer that displays a set of entity instances and relationships from a selected entity-relationship model, a user can display details for an entity instance, and see relationships between and among entity instances. By virtue of the underlying linkage provided by the provenance links, the user can also display source records for an entity instance, and display entity instances for a source record. The technique facilitates Big Data analytics.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present disclosures, systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable mediums having program instructions thereon, provide for replicating core data service (“CDS”) views from different source systems at a central server. Meta-data corresponding to the desired database application tables are replicated at each of the source systems and are utilized to generate the CDS views at the central server. Further, any changes to CDS views at the respective source systems are tracked and automatically replicated at the central server.

Abstract: Systems and methods for data conversion and distribution. A data collection system receives data from plural data sources; extracts data values for each data source from the data; classifies each extracted value among categories; and stores each extracted value in a database according to a data mapping based on a category index, such that the extracted value is stored according to the associated category index. A data performance system retrieves, for each category, data values associated with the category and a predetermined period, by querying the database based on the category index; and runs, for each category, the retrieved data through statistical algorithms, to generate data performance metrics representative of the data from all of the data sources. A data distribution system generates a predictive performance metric for further data based on a comparison between the further data and the data performance metrics for at least one category.

Abstract: An event-related media management system contextualizes media content. The event-related media management system associates media content with contextual event-related data to associate the media content with the events and information about the events. The contextual event-related data can then be used to provide access to the media content, such as through relevant search results or by presenting the media content in organized displays for contextual browsing and navigation. In some embodiments the event-related media management system generates contextualized media content for contextual search, discovery, and advertising.
