Abstract: Athletic performance monitoring and tracking may provide multiple ways in which to track athletic movement and activity. In one example, an athletic monitoring device may include or be associated with multiple types of movement sensors and switch between the sensors or use both depending on various factors including type of workout. Workouts may also be tagged with various parameters including mood, weather, terrain, athletic equipment used and the like. In one or more examples, the parameters may be automatically determined based on location. User workouts and accomplishments may also be celebrated through messages from celebrities, family, friends and other users. In some cases, the messages may be triggered by various conditions. Coaching may also be provided to the user to help improve workouts and overall athletic performance. Running routes may also be automatically tracked, stored and shared.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a balance exercise training equipment having a planar platform with a ballast assembly that lowers its center of mass below a ball-and-socket joint. In an illustrative example, the planar platform may couple to a support assembly through the ball and socket joint to pivot and rotate relative to the support assembly. The ballast assembly may include laterally extending members to releasably receive and retain ballast plates. In response to the laterally extending members receiving and retaining ballast plates, the center of mass may descend below a pivot point of the ball-and-socket joint. In a mount or dismount mode, a locking mechanism may lock the planar platform in a predetermined position to facilitate mounting and dismounting onto the planar platform. Advantageously, a user may adjust the center of mass in accordance with a user's skill level or exercise preference.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology include an event processing and prospect identifying platform. It accepts as input a set of storylines (a sequence of entities and their relationships) and processes them as follows: (1) uses different algorithms (LDA, SVM, information gain, rule sets) to identify themes from storylines; (2) identifies top locations and times in storylines and combines with themes to generate events that are meaningful in a specific scenario for categorizing storylines; and (3) extracts top prospects as people and organizations from data elements contained in storylines. The output comprises sets of events in different categories and storylines under them along with top prospects identified. Aspects use in-memory distributed processing that scales to high data volumes and categorizes generated storylines in near real-time.

Abstract: Story panels are generated. A story panel forms a portion of a computer game that includes multimedia content corresponding to a dramatic story and one or more game challenges. The story panels are combined into one or more episodes of the dramatic story, wherein a transition from a first story panel to a second story panel is effected conditioned on fulfilling requirements of a game challenge included in the first story panel. Input options are included in each story panel that enable a user to interact with the story panel when playing the computer game. The story panels are configured to be displayed in one of several different gaming modes. One or more story panels associated with an episode are streamed to electronic devices over network connections for presentation on displays coupled to the electronic devices.
