  • Patent number: 9586141
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system and a method for visualizing synthetic objects within a real-world video clip. The embodiments allow interactive, synthetic objects or characters to appear as if they are “embedded” inside or form part of a video clip. These objects move independently of the environment within the video clip and are controlled by a user. In one embodiment the video frames are set as textures in the furthermost layer in a 3D environment viewer or 3D “engine”. In another embodiment separate layers of video frames are superimposed with the synthetic objects on an output screen and synchronizing the movements and the field of view settings to give the perception that only one camera is used.

  • Patent number: 9586177
Abstract: A process for removing sulfur from a gas containing sulfur compounds as H2S, SO2, COS, CS2 . . . , in a quantity of up to 15% wt; particularly gases emanating from the Claus process: A first hydrogenation of the sulfur compounds into H2S, the hydrogenation gas being used to regenerate a deactivated bed of oxidation catalyst, both being carried out at 200-500° C. After sulfur removal, the resulting gas undergoes a second hydrogenation step and then a direct oxidation step, said step being operated under the dew point of sulfur to trap the formed sulfur in the catalyst. In the further cycle, the gas streams are switched so as to regenerate the catalyst in run which is deactivated.

  • Patent number: 9586179
Abstract: Disclosed are, inter alia, methods of forming coated substrates for use in catalytic converters, as well as washcoat compositions and methods suitable for using in preparation of the coated substrates, and the coated substrates formed thereby, which in some cases use iron-exchanged zeolite particles that provide enhanced performance such as lower light-off temperatures and lower pollutant levels in exhaust gases. The catalytic material is prepared by a plasma-based method, yielding catalytic material with a lower tendency to migrate on support at high temperatures, and thus less prone to catalyst aging after prolonged use. Also disclosed are catalytic converters using the coated substrates, which have favorable properties as compared to catalytic converters using catalysts deposited on substrates using solution chemistry.

  • Patent number: 9586180
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of generating highly concentrated protein solutions, e.g., an antibody solution, a therapeutic protein solution, etc. The methods of the invention include membrane evaporation, such as evaporation of protein-free solvent from the protein solution, which concentrates the protein. The methods of the present invention result in protein solution concentrations not previously achievable by conventional ultrafiltration methods, e.g., protein solution concentrations of greater than about 260 grams of protein per liter of solution.

  • Patent number: 9586184
Abstract: An air-powered water circulation system for ponds, lakes, municipal water tanks, and other bodies of water having a draft tube extending along and about a vertical axis between upper and lower end portions and supported by a flotation arrangement with the upper end portion slightly below the water surface. A pneumatic, air flow arrangement is then provided to supply pressurized air from an aft pump to a plurality of submerged air pipes positioned within the draft tube below the upper end portion thereof and extending inwardly from a submerged manifold toward the interior of the draft tube. In operation, pressurized air is supplied from the air pump through an air delivery conduit to the submerged air manifold and into the submerged air pipes where it is discharged as air bubbles through series of discharge holes extending along the pipes to create an overall circulation pattern in the body of water.
