Abstract: A manual transmission shifter includes a reaction arm mounting the shifter to a transmission via a bushing. The bushing includes a resilient member having a tubular section lining a mounting hole in the arm and having a flange extending around the hole. The bushing includes a rigid cup member having an inner sleeve disposed within the tubular section and having a cup rim defining a recess between the inner sleeve and cup rim with a predetermined depth. The flange has a thickness greater than the predetermined depth and is inserted in the recess to create an open gap between the cup rim and the arm. A fastener extends through the inner sleeve to attach the cup member to a transmission bracket. The resilient member attenuates vibrations through the bushing. The arm is provided with a limited range of longitudinal rotation by contact of the arm with the cup rim.

Abstract: A vibration isolation system reduces rattling in a reverse lockout mechanism for a manual shifter. A shaft retained in a shifter housing has an upper end for a shift knob and an enlarged barrel section proximate the housing. A lockout skirt slides on the shaft between upper and lower positions. The lockout skirt has a shoulder extending radially outward, and the housing includes a stop block such that the shaft is prevented from pivoting to a reverse gear position when the lockout skirt is in the lower position and is free to move to the reverse gear position when the lockout skirt is in the upper position. A spring retained on the shaft biases the lockout skirt toward the lower position. A plurality of lubricated O-rings are disposed on the shaft to define sliding interfaces between the lockout skirt and the shaft and between the lockout skirt and the barrel.

Abstract: A traffic control light strip supports a plurality of light emitting diode illumination devices within a plurality of LED units upon an elongated supporting strip. A power and control unit responsive to operator inputs is operatively coupled to the LED units to provide selective illumination patterns of the light emitting diodes. The traffic control light strip is supported by a flexible elongated base member which allows the entire traffic control light strip to be rolled upon a storage reel from a deployed configuration to a convenient storage configuration. In an alternate embodiment, the traffic control light strip includes a pair of extendable hinge coupled support members that facilitate folding the traffic control light strip to a closed transport and storage configuration.

Abstract: An illuminating device having folding solar panels, which comprises a lamp cover, a light source, two solar panels, and a folding holder on which the two solar panels are positioned. The opening of the lamp cover is smaller than the deployed area of the folding holder. When it is intended to place the light source, solar panels, and folding holder inside the lamp cover, the folding holder are folded by a predetermined angle so as to pass through the opening of the lamp cover. Accordingly, the illuminating device may significantly reduce the overall volume thereof without compromising the working efficiency. The illuminating device is flexible in arrangement and assembly, and is also more flexible in construction since the solar panels may be positioned at the highest portion to absorb more sunlight.

Abstract: This invention is related to an improved light ring structure for vehicle lamp. An incident portion is extended and projected from one side of a light-guiding ring, and a V-shaped light-guiding portion connects the incident portion and the light-guiding ring. An optical structure is formed on an optical surface of the light-guiding ring, and several teeth are aligned on the optical surface. One side of each tooth is a vertical section which faces to the incident portion and the other side of that is an inclined section. The width of the teeth is increased gradually from the incident portion and the opposite of the incident portion to the two sides of the light-guiding ring, forming the widest tooth at the two sides of the light-guiding ring, and the height of the teeth is increased gradually from the incident portion, forming the highest tooth at the opposite of the incident portion.
