Abstract: Helical wick candle and method of manufacturing this candle. The candle typically comprises a candle with meltable fuel such as wax, and at least one helical wick with a helical radius of at least ¼? or greater. This helical wick is configured so that as the candle burns, the burning tip of the wick doesn't remain stationary, but rather circles the axis of the wick so as to burn more of the wax than would otherwise be possible with a prior art straight wick candle, at least when the diameter of the candle is larger than the pool of melted wax surrounding the wick. This results in higher fuel burning efficiency, often 1.5× or higher, as well as various interesting artistic shapes as the wick burns. Various wick sheath methods to improve the rigidity and burn resistance of the wick during the burning process are also discussed.

Abstract: A compressor is configured to form a refrigerant circuit using refrigerant containing a substance having such a property as to cause a disproportionation reaction, and includes a shell serving as an outer shell, a compression chamber installed inside the shell, the compression chamber being configured to compress the sucked refrigerant, cause the compressed refrigerant to flow into the shell to place the shell under a high-pressure refrigerant atmosphere, and discharge the compressed refrigerant externally, and a motor configured to feed power to the compressor. With the configuration described above, a disproportionation reaction is made unlikely to occur. As a result, the substance having such a property as to cause a disproportionation reaction can be used safely as the refrigerant.

Abstract: Embodiments of a spill over tank for an evaporator of a HVAC system are described. The spill over tank may be configured to receive a refrigerant directed out of the evaporator. The spill over tank may be configured to have an outlet directing refrigerant in the spill over tank out of the spill over tank and flowing back to a compressor of the HVAC system. The spill over tank may be equipped with a refrigerant level sensor configured to measure a refrigerant level in the spill over tank. The measured refrigerant level in the spill over tank may be used to control and/or maintain a refrigerant level in the evaporator, and/or may be used to control a return refrigerant flow into the compressor of the HVAC system so as to manage an oil return to the compressor.

During Holiday mode, repetitive fixed frequency and fixed duty cycle time cycles are established, each time cycle having “on” and “off” portions. During “on” cycle portions current flow through the refrigerator is permitted as determined by the refrigerator compartment temperature. During “off” cycle portions current flow is inhibited irrespective of refrigerator compartment temperature changes. Visible indicators inform users of the status of the current cycle portion, thereby advising them to open the refrigerator door only during “off” cycle portions.
