  • Patent number: 9619847
Abstract: A method, device and user terminal for acting on graphical objects displayed in a plug-in viewer of a mobile application is disclosed. In response to a first command gesture, a user device displays a webpage in a user interface of a social networking application and the webpage includes one or more images. After detecting a second command gesture, e.g. a sustained-contact, directed to an image or a blank portion of the displayed webpage, certain operations can be performed to the identified image or images. For example, a sustained-contact on the blank portion of the displayed webpage can result in saving all the images of the webpage in the user device or in the cloud. The saving operation can be conducted with or without additional approval from a user. In such a manner, the saving operation on images of a webpage can be performed more efficiently, improving user experience.

  • Patent number: 9619849
Abstract: A system and method integrating healthcare delivery to patients using data bridges that connect healthcare providers, patients, patient medical education, and patient monitoring devices is disclosed. The system incorporates a mobile user interface device (MUD) allowing user inputs or detected events from a variety of medical instrumentation devices (MID) to be controlled by a healthcare web server computer (HWS) over a computer communication network (CCN). Information retrieved from the MID and transmitted by the MUD to the HWS is then used by a patient healthcare monitor (PHM) process to populate a medical records database (MRD). MRD contents are then matched to patient healthcare plan (PHP) event/time triggers (ETT) that drive information from a provider content database (PCD) to the MUD through the HWS over the CCN. Healthcare provider update/control of the PHP/ETT/PCD allow integration of patient educational materials with patient health status monitoring.

  • Patent number: 9619858
Abstract: One embodiment provides a system that facilitates the execution of a web application. During operation, the system loads a native code module that includes a scenegraph renderer into a secure runtime environment. Next, the system uses the scenegraph renderer to create a scenegraph from a graphics model associated with the web application and generate a set of rendering commands from the scenegraph. • Patent number: 9619860
Abstract: In several embodiments, a graphics processor couples to a virtual machine monitor (VMM) to present a virtual graphics processor to one or more virtual machines. A mediator for the virtual graphics processor synchronously shadows modifications to a guest graphics translation table (GTT) of a virtual machine to a shadow GTT of the VMM using trap and emulate virtualization. If the mediator detects a frequency of modifications to the guest GTT that exceeds a threshold the mediator may then asynchronously shadow at least a portion of the guest GTT to the shadow GTT and rebuild the shadow GTT prior to submitting commands for the virtual graphics processor to the graphics processor.

  • Patent number: 9619862
Abstract: This disclosure pertains to novel devices, methods, and computer readable media for performing raw camera noise reduction using a novel, so-called ā€œalignment mappingā€ technique to more effectively separate structure from noise in an image, in order to aid in the denoising process. Alignment mapping allows for the extraction of more structure from the image and also the ability to understand the image structure, yielding information for edge direction, edge length, and corner locations within the image. This information can be used to smooth long edges properly and to prevent tight image details, e.g., text, from being overly smoothed. In alignment maps, the amount of noise may be used to compute thresholds and scaling parameters used in the preparation of the alignment map. According to some embodiments, a feature map may also be created for the image. Finally, the image may be smoothed using the created feature map as a mask.

  • Patent number: 9619869
Abstract: A method, a computer program, a computer program product and a computed tomography system are disclosed. The image data is a spatially three-dimensional reconstruction. At least one value for an image metric of the image data is determined. A motion field for motion compensation of the image data is then determined on the basis of image data as a function of the image metric. Essentially, partial image data is determined, wherein the partial image data corresponds in each case to the spatially three-dimensional reconstruction from scan data of an angular sub-range. The motion field of the image data is determined at the control points via an optimization method as a function of the image metric, so that, thereafter, the partial image data is transformed in accordance with the motion of the motion field. New image data is then produced by merging the partial image data.

  • Patent number: 9619870
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for removing blur from a single image by accumulating a blur kernel estimation across several scale levels of the image and balancing the contributions of the different scales to the estimation depending on the noise level in each observation. In particular, a set of observations can be obtained by applying a set of variable scale filters to a single blurry image at different scale levels. A single blur kernel can be estimated across all scales from the set of observations and used to obtain a single latent sharp image. The estimation at a large scale level is refined using the observations at successively smaller scale levels. The filtered observations may be weighted during the estimation to balance the contributions of each scale to the estimation of the blur kernel. A deblurred digital image is recovered by deconvolving the blurry digital image using the estimated blur kernel.

  • Patent number: 9619882
Abstract: There is disclosed a novel form of imaging referred to in this disclosure as ā€œcorrelated diffusion imagingā€ or CDI in which the tissue being imaged is characterized by a joint correlation of diffusion signal attenuation across multiple gradient pulse strengths and timings. Advantageously, by taking into account signal attenuation at different water diffusion motion sensitivities, correlated diffusion imaging can provide significantly improved delineation between cancerous tissue and healthy tissue when compared to existing diffusion imaging modalities. In an embodiment, the method comprises performing quantitative evaluation using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, tissue class separability analysis, and visual assessment to study correlated diffusion imaging for the task of identification of biological tissue of interest.

  • Patent number: 9619887
Abstract: A motion analysis is applied to a signal to identify high-motion regions and low-motion regions. An analysis of low-level characteristics of the signal, such as a skin tone or contrast analysis, is used to generate a map of regions with low-level characteristics. The map is filtered to identify regions having both low-level characteristics and low motion. Based on a comparison of the area of the regions having both low-level characteristics and low motion to a threshold, regions of interest are identified. If the area is greater than the threshold, the regions of interest are identified as a function of the high-motion regions and of the regions that have both low-level characteristics and low motion. Otherwise, the regions of interest are identified as a function of the high-motion regions and of regions identified using face detection.
