Abstract: Techniques are described for automatic interval metadata determination for intermittent time series data. In one example, a method for determining intermittent time series interval metadata includes detecting one or more time variables in a time series data set. The method further includes determining whether the one or more time variables are intermittently regular. The method further includes determining one or more respective time intervals for the one or more time variables. The method further includes determining the parameters of intermittency for the one or more time variables. The method further includes generating an output comprising information about the one or more time variables based on the one or more respective time intervals and the parameters of intermittency for the time variable.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing data. During operation, the system obtains a set of key performance indicators (KPI) for one or more customer service representatives, wherein the set of KPIs includes a number of cases (e.g., solved cases, reopened cases, handled cases, and/or routed cases) per queue hour. Next, the system uses the set of KPIs to display a graphical user interface (GUI) comprising a chart of a two-dimensional performance measurement for the one or more customer service representatives. The system then displays, in the chart, a first axis representing a productivity KPI comprising the number of cases per queue hour and a second axis representing an additional KPI from the set of KPIs.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to performance appraisal management, and more particularly to standardization of goals associated with performance appraisal. In one embodiment, a method for standardization of goals includes identifying labeled and unlabeled goals associated with a role. The goals includes template and manually created goals. Each of the template goals is associated with a class label, and includes corresponding goal description and self-comments. First and second classifiers are trained using goal description and self-comments. Candidate negative goals are identified and excluded from the goals to obtain a set of unlabeled goals. The set of unlabeled goals are classified by the first and second classifier, and a confidence score associated with the classification is determined. The unlabeled goals with high confidence score are added to labeled goals to obtain an updated set of labeled goals. The first and second classifiers are iteratively co-trained using the updated set of labeled goals.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing data. During operation, the system obtains a set of metrics associated with a performance of one or more customer service representatives. Next, the system calculates a productivity key performance indicator (KPI) from the set of metrics, wherein the productivity KPI includes a number of cases (e.g., solved cases, reopened cases, handled cases, and/or routed cases) per queue hour for the one or more customer service representatives. The system then outputs the productivity KPI for use in managing the performance of the one or more customer service representatives.

Abstract: Methods and arrangements for determining at least one employment trait of an individual from online activity. Collecting a plurality of employment task data points from a plurality of online sources, wherein each employment task comprises a data set indicative of a path taken by at least one individual from a starting point to an ending point, wherein the starting point and ending point are defined on the basis of common parameters. The collected plurality of employment task data points are assessed, to determine an employment trend of the individual and creating at least one profile of the individual based on the determined employment trend. At least one profile is stored at a data storage location. Other variants and embodiments are broadly contemplated herein.

Abstract: Identifying mentors may include, responsive to receiving a mentorship request, generating search parameters, using a central request processor, from the mentorship request, and distributing the search parameters to a mentor identification processor. Identifying mentors may include selecting, from private data of the organization, a candidate mentor set of at least one candidate mentor that meets the search parameters and that has agreed to serve as a mentor, matching a candidate mentor with the mentee according to publicly accessible information retrieved for each candidate mentor, and determining whether a matched candidate mentor accepts selection for mentorship for the mentee. Identifying mentors may also include sending a notification specifying the matched candidate mentor to a device of the mentee only responsive to determining that the matched candidate mentor accepts the mentorship.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for replenishing products that are being monitored by an internet enabled device. The internet enabled device can monitor products to provide real-time replenishment data. The real-time replenishment data can be analyzed to form real-time consumption patterns. Based on the real-time consumption patterns, a determination can be made as to which products being monitored by the internet enabled device requires replenishment. To replenish the products, the system can query local retailers that carry the product. This can include initiating bids and sending the bids out to local retailers. Based on an analysis of the local retailers and the consumer's needs, a recommendation of a local retailers can be provided. The local retailer is a place where the consumer can purchase the product.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for deriving insights based on real-time consumption patterns. Real-time consumption data can be received and processed to determine product consumption patterns for a different geo-locations. The product consumption patterns can be analyzed to predict the demand for products or product categories for each geo-location. Predictions can also be made of which products may require replenishment in each geo-location. Valuable insights can in turn be generated for retailers and manufacturers.

The decoded message is an identifier for said physical object, which is then displayed. A shipper provides a natural language command to ship an item, either in voice or text format. If in voice format, the system converts the speech to text. From the text command, the system identifies product attributes for the product that will be shipped, the recipient of the product, the origin and destination location, and the timeliness with which the shipper desires it to be delivered. The system uses the product attributes, the origin and destination locations, and timeliness with which the shipper desires the product to be delivered to search for one or more carriers that provide services to ship the package, and then display to the shipper for selection the one or more carriers that meet the shippers requirements for shipping the product.

The placement officers send a list of approved students for specific positions to the recruiter, and the recruiter selects students of interest and invites those students to take tests or to conduct interviews. The recruiter makes job offers to specific students through the placement officer, the placement officer then forwards the offers to students, and those students may accept or decline.

The mobile device then sends a selection of a communication component to the bridge device.
