  • Patent number: 9638426
Abstract: A gas burner safety system comprises dual sensor arrays, the first array positioned proximal to the gas burner and the second array positioned proximal to a control used to turn on and of and regulate the flame of the gas burner. The first array senses the flame components such that a flame signature is obtained when no object is placed on or above the flame and a flame image is obtained when an object is proximal to the flame. By comparing the flame signature and the flame image, a central control unit operatively connected to the sensor arrays can determine the presence or absence of an object proximal to the flame. The second sensor array is positioned to detect a human hand proximal to the control. In operation, if the flame image matches the flame signature and a human hand is not detected proximal to the control, the central control unit turns off the gas burner by causing the closure of a valve in the gas supply line to the gas burner.

  • Patent number: 9638436
Abstract: A monitoring system for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system of a building includes a monitoring device installed at the building, a monitoring server located remotely from the building, and a review server. The monitoring device measures an aggregate current supplied to components of the HVAC system and transmits current data based on the measured aggregate current. The monitoring server receives the transmitted current data and, based on the received current data, assesses whether failures have occurred in first and second components of the HVAC components. The monitoring server generates a first advisory in response to determining that the failure has occurred in the first component. The review server provides the first advisory to a technician for review and, in response to the technician verifying that the failure has occurred, transmits a first alert.

  • Patent number: 9638437
Abstract: There is provided a compressor fixing structure capable of preventing vibrations from a compressor from being spread to the entirety of a product in which the compressor is installed. The compressor fixing structure includes: a plurality of support units disposed to have a polygonal structure and protruded from a bottom surface; a support unit anti-vibration rib protruded from a perimeter of each of the plurality of support units; and an outer anti-vibration rib surrounding the entirety of the plurality of support units and protruded from a bottom surface. Spreading of vibrations from a compressor installed in a product is minimized, reducing vibrations and noise generated by the compressor when the compressor is driven.

  • Patent number: 9638438
Abstract: A circulation heater is provided which uses a cast body, having resistance heating elements therein and also having spirally wound Teflon tubing wrapped about the heater body. The heater body is formed of cast aluminum or other suitable cast material and after casting is machined to form at least one spiral channel for receiving the heater tube therein. The heater tube is pressed into the tubing channel as the heater tube is progressively wound spirally about the heater body. The channel is formed with an undercut profile wherein the channel is undercut to form a narrower mouth which allows the heater tube to be compressed and then snapped into the channel. The profile of this channel insures direct contact between the tubing and the channel wall over greater than 180 degrees or more than one half of the tube circumference to increase the area of surface contact between the heater tube and channel surface.
