Abstract: A lighting system for indoor farming for delivering high intensity light while reducing or eliminating heat loads in a growing environment is provided. The lighting system comprises a lighting housing having a first end, a second end, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a third side between the first side and the second side, and a fourth side opposite the third side. A first LED board is mounted to the first side and a second LED board is mounted to the second side. A first shroud covers the first LED board and a second shroud covers the second LED board. A coolant passage is formed completely through the lighting housing. A coolant liquid is receivable through the coolant passage. The coolant liquid provides active cooling, of the lighting housing from heat created by the first and second LED boards.

Abstract: An illuminated corbel includes first and second wood members connected together at proximal ends thereof and extending transverse to one another to form a generally L-shaped structure. The illuminated corbel further includes a connecting wood member extending between distal portions of the first and second wood members to define a cavity between the first and second wood members and the connecting member. At least one wood sheet member substantially covers one side of the cavity. Further, one or more electric lamps are mounted within the cavity for illuminating the interior of the cavity. The first and second wood members, the connecting wood member, and the sheet member are arranged and configured to permit at least some light from the electric lamp to emanate from within the corbel and be externally visible.

Abstract: A container apparatus can include a container and an insert assembly. The insert assembly can include four elongate members. The four elongate members can include light emitting devices for illuminating the interior of the container and/or temperature altering elements for cooling and/or heating the interior of the container. The container can have a rectangular base and a rectangular sidewall extending upwardly from the base. The sidewall can define four corners of the container, and four elongate recesses can be formed in the sidewall proximate the four corners of the sidewall to receive the elongate light members. The recesses can be sized and shaped to conform to the elongate insert members so that the insert members can be releasably retained within the elongate recesses.

Abstract: A candle unit including multiple candle characteristics, such as multiple candle colors and/or multiple candle scents. The candle unit is specifically configured and adapted to be invertible/repositionable, such that when the candle unit is in a first orientation, a first characteristic is perceptible, and when the candle unit is in an inverted, second orientation, a second characteristic is perceptible. Thus, the user may effectively change the characteristics of the candle unit simply by inverting/transitioning the candle unit between different operative orientations, as opposed to swapping out the candle unit for a different candle unit.

Abstract: Techniques for controlling a solid fuel combustion appliance, e.g., a wood burning stove, are disclosed. A control system measures an exhaust gas temperature of airflow through an outlet of the solid fuel combustion appliance. The control system determines a derivative of the exhaust gas temperature with respect to time. The derivative of the exhaust gas temperature with respect to time is compared to a predetermined threshold. The control system modulates the inlet damper in response to determining that the derivative of the exhaust gas temperature with respect to time reaches the predetermined threshold.
