A first passage connects the ejection outlet and the grass collection container. A second passage connects the grass collection container and the air chamber. The air flow supplied from the grass collection container to the air chamber through the second passage is supplied to the cutting chamber.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods are provided for monitoring yield while harvesting grain. Grain released from paddles on the clean grain elevator chain of a harvester contacts a flow sensor which reports the rate of grain flow through the clean grain elevator. In some embodiments a brush is mounted to the chain and disposed to clean the flow sensor surface. In other embodiments a bucket mounted to the clean grain elevator chain releases grain against the flow sensor at a rate dependent on a grain property.

  • Patent number: 9686915
Abstract: A system and method for producing a feed product, and the product, are disclosed. A processor apparatus may comprise a housing and at least two generally cylindrical rolls rotatably mounted on the housing, with a gap being formed between the rolls through which the path of the crop materials passes. At least one roll may have alternating longitudinal ridges and grooves forming teeth on the surface of the roll. A rotating assembly may be configured to rotate the rolls with respect to the housing, the rotating assembly being configured to rotate the pair of rolls at different rotational speeds. A method may comprise cutting plants growing in a field, chopping the plants of the crop materials in a manner to produce pieces of the plants that have lengths of approximately 1 inch to approximately 2.5 inches long, and processing the plant pieces between the rolls rotating at a speed differential of at least 10 percent.

Abstract: A cleaning shoe material-other-than-grain (MOG) discharge system of a combine harvester has a thresher rotor assembly configured to produce a stream of thresher rotor MOG and a shoe disposed beneath the thresher rotor assembly configured to produce a stream of shoe MOG. A chopper receives and chops the stream of thresher rotor MOG. Vanes disposed at an outlet of the chopper distribute the chopped thresher rotor MOG. A plate having top and bottom surfaces is adjacent to the plural vanes. A duct is set on the plate, the duct having a first inlet and a first outlet, the first inlet disposed adjacent to an outlet of the shoe to receive the stream of shoe MOG, the first outlet disposed downstream of the outlet of the chopper such that the stream of shoe MOG is received in the stream of chopped thresher rotor MOG.
