Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of forming a container comprising forming a basket portion of metal mesh material and a rail connected to the basket portion. The rail extends substantially outwardly from the outer surface of the basket portion and the rail extends continuously around the outer surface of the basket portion. In one example, the method includes forming the rail so that it does not contain or surround a free edge of the basket portion. In another example, the method includes forming the rail so that it includes an opening for containing or surrounding a free edge of the basket portion. The method may also include forming a lower rail. The present invention is also directed to a container formed by such method.

Abstract: A drawer assembly is disclosed that includes a removable container ad a receiving tray. The container has a housing having at least one shaped surface and at least one horizontal alignment element coupled to and projecting from the housing. The receiving tray has a base having a redirection feature and at least one horizontal alignment hole in the base that is configured to accept the horizontal alignment element. The container and receiving tray are configured such that downward motion of the container with the shaped surface of the housing in contact with the redirection feature of the base induces a lateral motion of the container according to the engagement of the shaped surface and the redirection feature that causes the horizontal alignment element to slide into the horizontal alignment hole.

Abstract: A display apparatus including a display unit and a support device is provided. The support device is connected to the display unit to support the display unit on a flat surface with a supporting angle. The support device includes a support bracket, a pivot unit and a constant force spring. The support bracket has a pivot hole. The pivot unit is pivotally connected to the pivot hole of the support bracket and connected to the display unit. The constant force spring has a spring body coupled with the pivot unit. When the supporting angle changes in a predetermined range, an end portion of the spring body is movably connected to the support bracket.

Abstract: A chair has a supporting frame 1, a seat portion 101, a back portion 201 that has an upper end, a lower end, and is pivotally mounted relative to the supporting frame at a position above its lower end, and a recline mechanism 601. The recline mechanism 601 lifts the seat portion 101 upon a reclining action of the back portion 201, and has an operative connection 603, 611 between the seat portion and the supporting frame and a drag link 602 pivotally connected to the seat portion 101 and pivotally connected to the back portion 201 at a position below the pivotal mounting of the back portion relative to the supporting frame. As the back portion 201 of the chair is reclined, the lower end of the back portion 201 moves forward and the drag link 602 pulls the seat portion 101 upward relative to the supporting frame 1.

Abstract: The disclosed invention provides a seating device for use by individuals who have recently had a surgical procedure that makes it uncomfortable or painful for the person to bear their body weight on their buttocks region. The device includes a firm back support and a cushioned bottom portion having a contoured recess thereon, thereby allowing an individual to place their body weight on the thigh area rather than directly onto the buttocks, offering comfort while sitting. The back support is connected to the bottom portion by a hinge, enabling the back support to fold down on the seat for easy and convenient portability. Overall, the present invention allows people to go about their daily routines without worry of additional discomfort when sitting down at home, at work, during vehicular transit, or other situations.

Abstract: A back support assembly for the back of a chair that rocks back and forth. The back of the chair includes a front that is spaced from and pivotally coupled to a rear. The front of the chair back is rotatable towards and away from the back of a user. A back support pushing arm within the back of the chair is pivotally coupled to the rear of the chair back and rotatable between a first position at which to apply a pushing force against the front of the chair back when the chair rocks forwards and a second position when the user leans back, the chair rocks backwards, and the front of the chair rotates towards the rear. A force generating strap within the chair back contacts and urges the back support pushing arm to rotate to the first position lying against the front of the chair back.

Abstract: An adjustable stool is transferrable between a stow position and a use position. The adjustable stool includes at least two arms that are pivotally attached to a base. The at least two arms can pivot between two positions. The adjustable stool also includes a seat platform, upon which a user sits, stands, and/or kneels when the adjustable stool is in the use position. The seat platform can engage the at least two arms when the at least two arms are in an upright or angular position relative to the base. The seat platform is selectively suspendable between the at least two arms at different heights relative to the base. The at least two arms are able to fold flat and be contained in the base when the adjustable stool is in the stow position.

Abstract: A bed rail having an operating position at one of the sides of a bed and a stored position between a mattress and box spring of the bed. To take down the bed rail, a guard frame portion is disengaged from a base frame portion, then the guard frame portion is pivoted and slid into the base frame portion. To set up the bed rail, the guard frame portion can be slid out of the base frame portion, pivoted relative to the base frame portion, then engaged to the base frame portion and into the operating position at a side of the bed.

Abstract: A gas communication device comprises a main body, at least one gas delivery pipe and a cover. The gas delivery pipe is at least partially disposed in the main body and forms a gas outlet at one end; the cover is movably pivoted to the main body and comprises at least one sealing structure for correspondingly sealing the gas outlet, wherein the cover is movable along an axis relative to the main body and away from the gas outlet so as to break the seal of the sealing structure on the gas outlet such that the cover is rotatable relative to the main body to expose the gas outlet.

Abstract: A child car seat accessory removably mounted to a car seat or stroller using a plurality of straps that cooperate together to serve as carrying straps and to securely envelope a child during transportation between a stroller and a child car seat, or vice versa. The accessory includes padding where a child is positioned to enhance the child's comfort and is made of a lightweight flexible material that makes it easy to store and use. The accessory can be rolled into a compact configuration to provide an ergonomic means to store and transport the present invention.

Abstract: Particular infant support or nursing pillows are disclosed, for supporting an infant in a variety of settings by providing a stable surface upon which to rest. Various embodiments include a generally crescent shaped device, including a resilient fill material surrounded by a fabric shell and having a top and a bottom surface connected by a band of uniform width extending vertically and wholly about the perimeter of the pillow. The support pillow may be combined with an accessory device to form a support pillow assembly. An attachment mechanism may be configured to attach the accessory device to the support pillow such that the accessory device is arranged to direct a perceptible effect to at least one of the first arm, the second arm, and the medial region of the support pillow.

The hinge rail is coupled to an edge of the vacuum panel and configured to rotate along with the vacuum panel between an open position and a closed position. Abstract: A standalone merchandise display and storage table on which retail merchandise is displayed includes one or more shelf subassemblies, which include a counter and a pull-out shelf that telescopes outwardly to provide additional display and storage space without interfering with merchandise stored on counters from which the pull-out shelves extends. Shelf subassemblies can be used in multiple levels, and the pull-out shelves can be extended to a tilted orientation so as not to interfere with merchandise displayed on a different level. The pull-out shelves can be retained when closed and when deployed in a fully extended, tilted position, as well as in intermediate positions. A cabinet supports a lower counter and a central compartment supports and upper counter thereabove. Extendable panels above the upper counter can be deployed for extra display and storage space or can be retracted for displaying advertising media.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for a platform adapted to fit atop a first drinking container and provide a stable surface for securely supporting a second drinking container stacked atop the first. In one exemplary embodiment the platform is a flat circular plate bounded at a perimeter edge by a first cylindrical wall on one side of the plate and a second cylindrical wall on the other side of the plate. The cylindrical walls may each include a cut-out to provide clearance for a handle on one of the drinking containers.

Abstract: The present invention is generally directed toward receptacle systems and methods of using the same. In one embodiment, the receptacle system includes a cup and a lid assembly. The lid assembly is configured to allow for removal of consumable items such as, but not limited to, fruit, nuts and seafood, while further providing a holding chamber for disposable items such as, but not limited to pits, shells and seeds that are left over from the consumable items. The cup, the lid assembly, or both may be discarded and replaced or re-used. The lid assembly includes at least one barrier surface or wall that provides physical separation between the consumable items and the disposable items.

Abstract: A drink insulator stabilizer system is provided. In one embodiment, the stabilizer system includes a clip that attaches to the bottom portion of a drink insulator, and includes a pair of pivoting spikes on an underside of the clip. The spikes may be pivoted from a horizontal position within longitudinal indentations on an underside of the clip to a vertical position pointed downwardly from the clip, so that the spikes may be inserted into the ground to stabilize an insulated drink. In another embodiment, the pivoting spikes are positioned under the bottom portion of a drink insulator. In use, a user may rotate the spikes to a vertical position for use while the insulated drink is on the ground, and the spikes may rotate to a horizontal position and may snap fit into the longitudinal indentations for transport and storage purposes, when stabilization is not required.

Abstract: A curtain hanger for hanging a curtain. The curtain hanger can be inserted into a pocket of a curtain. The curtain hanger can include a plurality of teeth or barbs that engage vertical stitches and/or pleats at edges of the pocket to hold the curtain hanger in the pocket. The teeth can be arranged at different widths and/or different angles such that the curtain hanger can be pinched to fit into pockets of different widths. The teeth can also be angled upwardly such that a tugging force on the curtain spreads the teeth apart and forces them into stronger engagement with the vertical stitches and/or pleats at the edges of the pocket.

Abstract: A sous-vide circulator cooker for home sous-vide cooking. The sous-vide circulator cooker is particularly suited for use in home kitchens and on small countertops. The sous-vide circulator cooker includes a detachable stainless steel skirt which allows for cleaning the skirt itself and cleaning of a heater and pump covered by the skirt. The provision of a stainless steel skirt can also act to ensure that no plastic components are directly wetted during use of the cooker. In at least one embodiment, the sous-vide circulator cooker's removable skirt also exposes the water pump impellers allow users to clean out food and debris.

Abstract: A cooking apparatus includes first and second griddles, each having a generally planar cooking surface for cooking food. A first lifting mechanism is configured to elevate the first griddle such that a food item on the cooking surface of the first griddle is predisposed to fall onto the cooking surface of the second griddle. A first wiper is configured to sweep the cooking surface of the first griddle to facilitate detachment of any food item attached to the cooking surface of the first griddle for transfer such food item to the cooking surface of the second griddle. The first and second griddles, first lifting mechanism, and first wiper are interconnected preferably to form a portable, integrated cooking product. These components preferably are enclosed within a housing for presenting a refined consumer product for use in a home kitchen and are arranged so as to define a compact volume and footprint.

Abstract: A vacuum blender having a vessel, a motor base containing a motor having a motor drive shaft, a blade holder having a blade with a blade shaft for engaging the motor drive shaft, and a fan connected to the motor drive shaft. The blender includes a conduit system for the passage of air from the vessel to an area in proximity to the fan before passing to the outside of the motor base. The conduit system is connected to a valve system, preferably including a three way valve or Venturi valve. The fan and blade are capable of being selectively actuated using a gear or clutch system, preferably operated by firmware. The invention is capable of evacuating air from the vessel before blending of the food contents occurs.

Abstract: A utensil for other use in the kitchen or similar venues configured with two side portions and a flexible middle portion formed to bend away from the adjacent side portions. The utensil includes a handle and at least one finger tab extending above and below the middle portion that allow the user to push the middle portion above or below the adjacent side portions and to lock utensil in an open position. The side and middle portions may be configured as a plurality of fork tines or the side and middle portions may be configured as substantially square (rectangular) supports resembling a spatula. Alternatively, the utensil is configured as two separate “L” shaped portions. The combination of the handle, the finger tabs and relatively movable portions allow a user of the utensil to grip food or other items with the utensil.

The cutting board member is configured to be at least partially positioned inside the reservoir area. The cutting board member has a cutting surface and at least one through-hole. Liquid on the cutting surface flows therefrom through the through-hole(s) and collects in the reservoir area of the tray. The cutting board member may have one or more channels configured to channel the liquid toward the through-hole(s). Each of the one or more channels may be tapered to help direct the liquid. Together the channel(s) and the through-hole(s) may completely surround the cutting surface. The tray may include one or more pouring grooves or spouts through which the liquid in the reservoir area may be poured therefrom.

Each support member may include two opposing intermediate sections, two opposing interfacing surfaces, and a connecting section. A longitudinal axis of each interfacing surface may be skew to a longitudinal axis of the opposing interfacing surface, defining an angle therebetween within the range from 60 degrees to 160 degrees. A first support member plane may be defined by the longitudinal axes of the opposing interfacing surfaces of a support member. The first support member plane of one support member may be positionable so as to be generally parallel to the first support member plane of another support member of the plurality of support members.

Abstract: A novel food serving and storage set including cover formed to be similar to and of realistic size, shape and color for the food in which it is covering, an accompanying complimentary receiving unit that has a vertical raised lip around its edge for the cover to fit exactly on top. The receiving unit has a flat peripheral area surrounding a depression in its center on which food may rest directly or indirectly. The food can rest on a separate removable disc which fits on top of the receiving unit in order to separate any elements in the receiving unit's depression (e.g. a cooling or warming element) from the food. Attached to the lower outer and upper inner rims of the cover and receiving unit respectively is a non-slip lining that creates an airtight seal allowing this system to store food for an extended time.

Abstract: A device and method to organize a plurality of toothbrushes to promote sanitary toothbrush drying and storing. This device allows the user to insert a toothbrush into the holder after use. The user will align the bristles of the toothbrush so that the bristle portion of the brush is facing down and plumb relative the horizon to allow the toothbrush to air-dry. The holder can be configured with multiple receiver members to store multiple toothbrushes while preventing cross-contamination. One embodiment features a toothbrush holder affixed to a wall while a second embodiment features a freestanding toothbrush holder. This device may also incorporate a cup holder, or a loop portion with an aperture disposed therein. The base of the holder may take various shapes and sizes. The holder may be flush-mounted, or may feature a mounting offset between the mounted surface and the receiver plate to aid in securing the toothbrush.

Abstract: A medicine cabinet organizer device includes a housing that is substantially rectangularly box shaped. The housing has a front, which is open. Slits and slots are positioned in a top of the housing. The slits and slots extend from a front edge to proximate to a back edge of the top. Pegs are positioned on opposing sides of the housing and are configured for the user to hang items. Each slit is configured for insertion of a bottom end of a tube such that the tube is retained in a cap down position substantially within the housing. Each slot is configured for insertion of a handle of a toothbrush such that a head of the toothbrush is positioned above the top of the housing.

Abstract: A hybrid dispenser incorporating structural elements providing the ability to alternatively dispense soap or other liquid from a container either by an electric motor or manually. The hybrid dispenser includes an electric motor and a valve actuator mechanism having an elongate pivotable actuator member for operating a dispensing valve structure. A manually operable member is pivotably mounted relative to the cabinet such that the electric motor and the manually operable member selectively independently cooperate with generally opposite ends of the elongate pivotable member to cause the dispensing valve structure to dispense liquid from a container supported by the dispenser.

Abstract: Exemplary foam pumps, refill units and foam dispenser systems are disclosed herein. One exemplary refill unit includes a container and a foam pump secured to the container. The foam pump includes an outer housing, an inner housing and a cap. An air pump chamber is formed at least in part by the inner housing. In addition, a liquid pump chamber is formed at least in part by the inner housing. At least a portion of the liquid pump chamber is also formed by the outer housing. Abstract: Exemplary dispensers, pumps and refill units are disclosed herein. An exemplary refill unit includes a container and a foam pump. The foam pump includes a liquid pump chamber, a compressible air inlet chamber and a compressed air inlet. The volume of the compressible air inlet chamber is less than the volume of air used to make a dose of foam. A one-way air inlet valve is located proximate the compressed air inlet. A piston is included that is movable within the liquid pump chamber and has a liquid seal member and an air seal member. The liquid pump chamber includes a liquid outlet into a center portion of the piston. One or more openings extend through the piston wall and provide a passage from the compressible air chamber to the center portion of the piston. The pump further includes mix media and an outlet.

Abstract: The present invention discloses personal hygiene device or cleaning devices and cleaning apparatuses. The cleaning devices include an elongate member, at least one housing coupled to a proximal end of the elongate member, at least one agitation mechanism movably coupled to the at least one housing, and a cleaning device removably coupled to the at least one housing. The cleaning apparatuses include a cleaning portion, a first attachment portion at a first end of the cleaning portion, and a second attachment portion at a second end of the cleaning portion. Methods of using the cleaning devices are also disclosed.
