It reduces the surgical costs from patients. In addition, the ultrasonic phacoemulsification needle using a plastic body reduces the likeliness of punctuating the capsule bag, which otherwise easily occurs in the metal needle case due to the extremely sharp rigid tip at the end of the needle, thus the risks of surgery are reduced and safety is improved.

Abstract: A device for cutting a web of fibrous material including movement means for moving a web of fibrous material to be cut, defining a feed surface for the web and having at least one first cutting zone, at least one laser source configured to generate a laser beam extending along its operating direction towards the first cutting zone to make, on the web, at least one incision extending along a predetermined cutting line, where a portion of the laser beam passes through the web of fibrous material at the first cutting zone. The device also includes recovery means for recovering the portion of the laser beam and at least partly located along the operating direction, at the first cutting zone, in such a way as to intercept the portion of the laser beam and direct it towards a second cutting zone to make a further incision or cut.

Abstract: A cast and bandage protector that uses a seal ring but avoids water pooling and seepage. It uses a flexible, stretchable and deformable diaphragm stretched tightly over a seal ring in order to seal the ordinarily open end of a flexible sleeve of waterproof material. The rigid seal ring flexible holder holds the flexible sleeve open and the diaphragm tightly stretches over and above it to minimize water pooling seepage and leaking about the interface of the diaphragm and the limb of the patient wearing the cast and the cast protector.

Abstract: A wheelchair control system and a control method using the same is provided. Firstly, providing a wheelchair which has a back provided with a first sensor and at least one second sensor arranged above the first sensor. The first sensor and the second sensor are electrically connected with a control device. A sitter sits in the wheelchair to trigger the first sensor and the second sensor, whereby the control device controls the wheelchair to operate. When the first sensor and the second sensor are triggered or non-triggered, the control device controls the wheelchair to stop or operate. The present invention controls the wheelchair to operate by changing the posture of the sitter, improves the conventional wheelchair to move by another person, and provides an automatic wheelchair for a sitter with upper limbs that inconveniently move. The sitter only moves his back to control the wheelchair to operate.
