The first end receives a firearm receiver. The bolt aperture receives a bolt to attach the firearm grip to the firearm receiver. The gap may be a thumbhole. The bolt aperture may extend through an upper portion of the firearm grip. A method of assembling a firearm includes positioning a firearm receiver adjacent to a first end of a firearm grip and positioning a bolt within a bolt aperture of the firearm grip. The bolt extends into the firearm receiver. The firearm receiver may be a shotgun receiver. The bolt may be inserted into the bolt aperture through a gap in the firearm grip. The bolt may be countersunk within a surface of the gap.

    Abstract: A rifle stock assembly adapted to receive and support a bolt action rifle barreled receiver is disclosed. The assembly includes a rifle stock/chassis having an elongated recess and a cage removably fastened to the chassis in the recess to receive a bolt action rifle receiver therein. The assembly may also have a pair of magazine collets fastened to the bottom of the forward portion of the chassis defining a magazine well beneath the cage. Cages having different internal surface shapes may be utilized to accommodate different barreled receivers in the same rifle stock/chassis. Different magazine collets may also be utilized to accommodate different caliber magazines used with the different barreled receivers.

The second arm is selectively moveable between a stowed position wherein and end of the second arm is received against a side of the body, and a deployed position wherein the first arm and the second arm form a downwardly rigid forearm support structure under the body.
