Publication number: 20170323443Abstract: Methods, hardware, and software transform 2D anatomical X-ray images into 3D renderings for surgical preparation. X-ray images of a body part are identified by camera model. A contour is extracted from the X-ray. Each anatomical region of the contour is assigned 2D anatomical values. A separate 3D template for the body part is modified to match the X-ray image by extracting silhouette vertices from the template and their projections. The template is aligned with the x-ray image and projected on an image plane to obtain a 2D projection model. The template is modified to match the anatomical values by comparing the projection with the corresponding anatomical values. Best matching points on the contour for extracted silhouette vertex projections are identified and used to back-project corresponding silhouette vertices. The 3D template is deformed so that its silhouette vertices match the target positions, resulting in a 3D reconstruction for the X-ray image.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2017Publication date: November 9, 2017Inventor: Karade Vikas Dhruwdas

Publication number: 20170323470Abstract: A gaming device is configured to provide virtual hybrid texture mapping, which provides a type of virtual placeholder that can be filled in using cloud computing resources. The virtual placeholders are filled in to create more detailed textures whose calculated are offloaded to a cloud computing service provider data center's cluster.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 3, 2016Publication date: November 9, 2017Inventor: Rasheed BABATUNDE

Publication number: 20170323472Abstract: At a computer-enabled imaging device, a workflow including a plurality of time-stamped images is obtained. Each time-stamped image has a respective time point at which the respective time-stamped image was obtained. A first plurality of time-stamped accelerometer interval readings and a first plurality of time-stamped interval gyroscope readings are acquired, each of the readings having a respective time point at which the respective reading was acquired. A first real-time translational and rotational trajectory of the first computer-enabled imaging device is thereby obtained. Time-stamped coordinates of feature points in the first workflow are acquired at a plurality of time points during which the time-stamped images were acquired. A first dataset including the workflow, time-stamped coordinates, the real-time translational and rotational trajectory, and translational movement of the coordinates of the feature points is communicated to a data processing and display system for image processing and analysis.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2015Publication date: November 9, 2017Inventors: Donald Michael Barnes, James Michael Grichnik

Publication number: 20170323473Abstract: Systems and methods present multiple images of a three-dimensional model, including a three-dimensional representation of an anatomic structure and a representation of a medical device relative to the anatomic structure, on a graphical user interface. The multiple images correspond to different views (e.g., in multiple, different planes) of the three-dimensional model to provide complementary spatial information regarding a position of the medical device relative to the anatomic structure during a medical procedure performed on the anatomic structure. Such complementary spatial information can, for example, provide spatial context to facilitate controlling the position of the medical device relative to the anatomic structure during the medical procedure.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 3, 2017Publication date: November 9, 2017Inventors: Geoffrey Peter Wright, Doron Harlev

Publication number: 20170323475Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for rendering at variable sampling rates. Vertex coordinates for 3D primitive are received from a shader execution unit, and an arithmetic operation is performed on the vertex coordinates by fixed operation circuitry to produce modified vertex coordinates in homogeneous coordinate space. The modified vertex coordinates are transformed from homogeneous coordinate space into screen-space to produce screen-space vertex coordinates of a transformed 3D primitive and the transformed 3D primitive is rasterized in screen-space using the screen-space vertex coordinates to produce an image for display.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 5, 2016Publication date: November 9, 2017Inventors: Henry Packard Moreton, Jonah M. Publication number: 20170323476Abstract: A system generates a clothing deformation model which models one or more of a pose-dependent clothing shape variation which is induced by underlying body pose parameters, a pose-independent clothing shape variation which is induced by clothing size and underlying body shape parameters and a clothing shape variation including a combination of the pose-dependent clothing shape variation and/or the pose-independent clothing shape variation. The system generates, for an input human body, a custom-shaped garment associated with a clothing type by mapping, via the clothing deformation model, body shape parameters of the input human body to clothing shape parameters of the clothing type and dresses the input human body with the custom-shaped garment.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2017Publication date: November 9, 2017Inventors: Michael J.
