  • Publication number: 20170361246
Abstract: A multi-walled tube that is useful as an analytical column in which chemical mixtures can be separated into their individual components is described. In order to be acceptable as an analytical column, the inner surface of the multi-walled tube must support effective separation, but not react chemically with or contaminate the solvent or the analyte (sample to be separated). Grade 316 stainless steel is typically preferred for this purpose. Moreover, the inner diameter (ID) surface of the multi-walled column is preferably very smooth (less than 10 micro inch Ra) with no interruptions in the surface such as scratches, pits, or asperities. However, since the column is designed to be attached to chromatographic equipment using standard size connection features, the size of standard fittings define the outer diameter (OD) of the column.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods for estimating a replacement status of an HVAC air filter. Outdoor weather data (e.g., outdoor temperature information), is obtained. A Total Runtime Value of the HVAC system is determined based upon the obtained outdoor weather data. Finally, a replacement status of the air filter is estimated as a function of a comparison of the Total Runtime Value with a Baseline Value. By correlating air filter replacement status with an estimated runtime of the HVAC system, a credible predictor of air filter usage is provided. By estimating fan runtime based on easily-obtained outdoor weather data, the methods are readily implemented with any existing HVAC system and do not require installation of sensors or other mechanical or electrical components to the HVAC system.

Abstract: A urea solution injection device includes an exhaust pipe for discharging exhaust gas generated in a combustion chamber to the exterior; an injector is installed and pierces into the exhaust pipe to inject urea solution into the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust pipe. A catalyst is disposed at a position after the injector when viewed in a flow direction of the exhaust gas and the exhaust gas is discharged to the exterior to decompose the exhaust gas mixed with the urea solution. A urea solution mixer is provided at an end of the injector and installed and pierces into the exhaust pipe. Accordingly the urea solution injected from the injector is dispersed therein. An installation unit provides for the urea solution mixer to be installed in the exhaust pipe and pierces into the exhaust pipe.
