Abstract: A double-walled container including: an outer layer body; an inner layer body, which is provided in a pinched-off portion and which passes through the outer layer body. The pinched-off portion is formed in a bottom due to pinch-off using a splittable mold in blow molding. The bottom is provided, on an inner side in a radial direction of an outer edge portion thereof, which serves as a ground-contacting surface, with a substantially cross-shaped recess, which is concave toward a mouth. The recess is configured by a first-direction recess portion, which extends along an extending direction of the slit, and a second-direction recess portion, which intersects with the first-direction recess portion. The slit is provided in a region in which the first-direction recess portion and the second-direction recess portion intersect with each other.

Abstract: The present disclosure relate to an actuator assembly for an aerosol can. The assembly includes a body attachable to a can and a disc provided with two opposing levers. The disc is hinged to the body and generally overlies a valve provided on the aerosol can. When either lever is depressed, a valve socket on the bottom of the disc engages the valve of the aerosol can to discharge pressurized liquid through a port formed through the disc. One of the levers is provided with a catching member that engages and selectively locks onto a latch provided on the body so that the lever is captured in a depressed position to cause the continuous discharge of liquid from the can. The captured lever can be released to discontinue discharge of liquid by pressing the other lever.

Abstract: A system for providing a flexible cover in a storage tank is provided that reduces the amount of vapors released from a hydrocarbon liquid and other liquids and reduces the amount of product (liquid) lost to the atmosphere. The flexible cover is, in some embodiments, comprised of one or more membranes joined together along their respect perimeter edges. The membranes are made from a material or materials that allow the cover to roll up, or otherwise reduce the cross sectional diameter or area of the cover, to allow the membrane to pass through a port in a storage tank. Once inside the storage tank, the cover may return to its normal and/or predetermined dimensions to cover the upper surface of the hydrocarbon or other liquid, which reduces the release of vapors from the hydrocarbon liquid and other liquids.

Abstract: A waste sorting system uses various sensors to automatically determine a type of a piece of waste, and dispense the waste into an appropriate waste bin, such as a recyclable waste bin, or a landfill waste bin. If the system determines that the piece of waste is of a type that is recyclable, it will first determine whether the waste satisfies a recyclability threshold before it deposits the waste into a recyclable waste bin. If the waste does not satisfy the recyclability threshold, the system will direct the piece of waste to a non-recyclable waste bin even if it is of a type that would otherwise be recyclable if it had met the recyclability threshold.
