Abstract: An Airborne Wind Turbine (“AWT”) may be used to facilitate conversion of kinetic energy to electrical energy. An AWT may include an aerial vehicle that flies in a path to convert kinetic wind energy to electrical energy. The aerial vehicle may be tethered to a ground station with a tether that terminates at a tether termination mount. In one aspect, the tether has a core and at least one electrical conductor. The tether core may be terminated at a first location in a tether termination mount along an axis of the termination mount, and the at least one electrical conductor may be terminated at a second location in the tether termination mount along the same axis that the core is terminated. This termination configuration may focus tensile stress on the tether to the tether core, and minimize such stress on the at least one electrical conductor during aerial vehicle flight.

Abstract: A method of constructing and assembling a floating wind turbine platform includes constructing pre-stressed concrete sections of a floating wind turbine platform base, assembling the floating wind turbine platform base sections to form the base at a first location in a floating wind turbine platform assembly area, and moving the base to a second location in the floating wind turbine platform assembly area. Pre-stressed concrete sections of floating wind turbine platform columns are constructed, and the column sections are assembled to form a center column and a plurality of outer columns on the base to define a hull at the second location in the floating wind turbine platform assembly area. The hull is then moved to a third location in the floating wind turbine platform assembly area. Secondary structures are mounted on and within the hull, and the hull is moved to a fourth location in the floating wind turbine platform assembly area.

Abstract: A device of a grease gun is used for delivering a viscous liquid to flow from a reservoir of the viscous liquid to a hose. The device includes a delivery head, two plungers, a cam member, and a drive source configured to drive the cam member to rotate. The delivery head has an outlet port for delivering the viscous liquid into the hose, two bores, and an intake port disposed for receiving the viscous liquid from the reservoir. Each of the plungers is slidably disposed in a corresponding one of the bores. Rotation of the cam member is translated into linear reciprocating motions of the plungers so as to permit the viscous liquid to alternately flow into the bores and then to flow out of the outlet port.

Therefore, there is always low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant in the suction refrigerant passage, and the power switching element can be efficiently cooled by the refrigerant in the suction refrigerant passage.
