In some embodiments, the system may comprise a printed circuit board (PCB), including one or more sensors disposed adjacent to a corner of the PCB to face a package to be tested, to detect an electrical edge of the package. The PCB may include a contactor array disposed to face respective interconnects of the package. The system may further include a controller coupled with the one or more sensors, to process an input from the one or more sensors, to identify the electrical edge of the package, and initiate an adjustment of a position of the PCB relative to the package, based at least in part on the electrical edge of the package, to substantially align contacts of the contactor array with the respective interconnects of the package. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2016Publication date: February 15, 2018Inventors: Mohanraj Prabhugoud, Andrew J. Hoitink, Abram M. Publication number: 20180045760Abstract: Embodiments relate to the formation of test probes. One method includes providing a bulk sheet of an electrically conductive material. A laser is used to cut through the bulk sheet in a predetermined pattern to form a test probe. Other embodiments are described and claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2017Publication date: February 15, 2018Inventors: Roy E. SWART, Paul B. FISCHER, Charlotte C. KWONG

Publication number: 20180045761Abstract: A method of employing a Decision Feedback Equalizer (DFE) in a test and measurement system. The method includes obtaining an input signal data associated with an input signal suffering from inter-symbol interference (ISI). A bit sequence encoded in the input signal data is determined to support assigning portions of the input signal data into sets based on the corresponding bit sequences. The DFE is applied to each set by employing a DFE slicer pattern corresponding to each set, which results in obtaining a DFE adjusted waveform histogram/PDF/waveform database graph for each set adjusted for ISI and accurately captures jitter suppression. The DFE adjusted waveform histogram/PDF/waveform database graphs are normalized and combined into a final histogram/PDF/waveform database graph for determining an eye contour of an eye diagram and jitter measurements.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2016Publication date: February 15, 2018Inventor: Kan Tan

Publication number: 20180045762Abstract: Conductors of first and second current sensor units are parallel or substantially parallel to each other with a space therebetween. An arch-shaped portion and an inverted arch-shaped portion of the first current sensor unit are at different positions from positions of an arch-shaped portion and an inverted arch-shaped portion of the second current sensor unit. When seen in a width direction, first and second magnetic sensor elements of the first current sensor unit are outside an opening of the second current sensor unit and first and second magnetic sensor elements of the second current sensor unit are outside an opening of the first current sensor unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2017Publication date: February 15, 2018Inventor: Yasuhiro SHIMIZU

Publication number: 20180045763Abstract: A current sensing assembly includes a conductor having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a third side, and a fourth side opposite the third side. The first side has a first notch formed therein and the second side has a second notch formed therein opposite the first notch. The current sensing assembly also includes a sensor assembly including a first magnetic sensor disposed in the first notch or proximate to the third side of the conductor between the first and second notches, and a second magnetic sensor disposed in the second notch or proximate to the fourth side of the conductor between the first and second notches.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2017Publication date: February 15, 2018Applicant: EATON CORPORATIONInventors: MARK ALLAN JUDS, JEROME KENNETH HASTINGS
