Abstract: A vacuum pump isolation (VPI) valve is interposed between a vacuum pump and a vacuum chamber. During normal operation of the vacuum pump, the VPI valve is open, allowing fluid communication between the vacuum pump and the vacuum chamber. When the vacuum pump becomes non-operational such as by losing power, the VPI valve closes, thereby isolating the vacuum chamber from the vacuum pump. The closing of the VPI valve is driven by the exhaust gas pressure of the vacuum pump. The VPI valve becomes exposed to the exhaust gas pressure by the opening of a pilot valve, which may occur as a result of the vacuum pump ceasing to operate. By this configuration, the VPI valve is hermetic and does not require ambient air for its operation.

One recess of the part may comprise an undercut in the outer periphery while another recess may comprise the groove of the internal threads. With a single stroke of the tool, panel material is simultaneously pushed into the undercut by the displacer and into the threads by the center punch to attach the part to the panel by clinching.

Abstract: The present disclosure illustrates a fixing device including a fixing assembly, a first plate and a second plate. The fixing assembly includes a sleeve, a position-limiting device, an elastic element, and a fastener. A supporting surface of the second plate is slid along a guiding incline of a stop part of the fastener, so that a stop section and the stop part of the fastener can be respectively positioned in a first fastening recess and a second fastening recess of the second plate. Later, the user just needs to push the position-limiting device to separate the fixing assembly from the second plate. Therefore, effects of reliable positioning and easy detachment can be achieved.

Abstract: A screw capable of cutting and compressing dregs in an object to be drilled comprises: a tapered head with a small lower end; at least one rib being formed on and winds around the tapered area of the head. Each rib is formed with an outer wall having a first slope with respect to an outer wall of a tapered surface of the head and an inner wall with a second slope with respect to an outer wall of the tapered surface. Connection of the inner wall and outer wall is formed as a sharp knife portion. Each rib winds around the tapered surface of the head with an angle being equal to or larger than 360 degrees. By using the structure above said, dregs in screwing are compressed into the object to tighten the screw to the object to be drilled and no dregs expose out.

Abstract: A universal electronics lock has an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. The outer cylinder slidingly fits over the inner cylinder. The outer cylinder is equipped with a lock cylinder that has an axially-movable latch. When the latch is in one position, it clears an inwardly-directed ridge defined within the inner cylinder. The lock is then in the “unlocked” position. When the latch is in a second position when rotated by a turning of a key, the latch is disposed behind a portion of the ridge and the lock is in the “locked” position. The universal electronics lock of the present invention allows rotation about a fastener, thus making the lock difficult to cut or saw through.
