Abstract: A juice pressing machine and methods for pressing juice from a foodstuff includes embodiments having a removable pressing chamber and one or more filters which may be assembled and loaded with macerated foodstuff to form thin layers separated by a pressing plate. Once a juicing operation has been completed, the pressing chamber can be removed from the machine for emptying the pressed filters and solids contents therein. The empty pressing chamber may then be rinsed if needed and reattached to the machine for a subsequent pressing operation with newly filled filter(s). The platen may also be easily removed from the machine for cleaning as desired.

The capsules provide a barrier between the additive materials and other cigarettes components, such as sorbents or filter materials, in order to reduce additive material migration into the other cigarette components prior to desired use. An outer cover which is impermeable to the fluid within the capsules is provided about the capsule or capsules and the first and second absorbent members.

When a user applies a sucking force to a smoke intake tube that communicates with the interior of the smoking chamber, a mixture of tobacco smoke and air is drawn in to the user's mouth along air flow paths from the tobacco bowl, downwardly through the plurality of air flow tubes and upwardly through the water in the smoking chamber. By virtue of the plurality of air flow tubes, the tobacco smoke will be uniformly distributed within the smoking chamber above the water to improve the taste of the tobacco.
