Abstract: Systems and methods of manufacturing a shoe outsole are provided wherein at least a portion of the resulting shoe outsole includes embedded particles. An example method includes applying adhesive to at least one region of the shoe outsole, depositing selected particles onto the adhesive to provide the shoe outsole with a first coat of particles, and at least partially curing the adhesive. The method continues by applying additional adhesive over the first coat of particles, depositing additional particles onto the adhesive to provide the shoe outsole with a second coat of particles, and at least partially curing the subsequent application of adhesive.

Abstract: The convertible shoe with interchangeable sole consists of an upper to hold the foot and an interchangeable outsole. There is an attachment surface on the underside of the upper and an attachment surface on the topside of the outsole, and the two attachment surfaces are paired and configured to securely attach the two components while also being detachable to allow for the interchange of different outsoles having different tread surfaces. The attachment surfaces are a non-flat contoured shape. There are two protruding ridges on one surface, one substantially under the toe and the other under the heel and part of the arch. These mate with a recessed channel on the other surface. There is also attachment material on both surfaces that are mated and provide a secure attachment.

The upper includes an inner bootie and a vamp; the inner bootie includes a lining and a PU inner pad which are connected; the collars of the inner bootie and the vamp are connected, and the vamp lower edge extends to the inner pad bottom surface and is connected therewith. The making process is simple and can save sole laying and insole assembly procedures and simplify the upper marking procedure; the inner bootie enables the upper and the sole to be completely attached to a last, realizes good wearing comfort and barefoot feeling, achieves maximum sports shock absorbing and assisting function and comfortably wraps the foot. By reducing EVA & RB materials and increasing PU material, the dissolution proportion of the shoes is increased, and the shoes are more environment-friendly.

The article of footwear includes a knitted component including a lower portion forming the knit sole system and an upper portion forming a portion of the upper of the article of footwear. A method of vacuum forming the knitted component using an insert member to form the knit sole system is also described. The insert member can be used to form the shape of the knit outsole, including the shape of cleat members, as well as remain within the interior of the upper to reinforce the knit sole system.

The memory foam layer may be laminated to the heel counter, for example, by adhesive or direct attachment. The heel memory foam layer may have a maximum thickness that is sufficient to embrace the heel of the wearer's foot potentially cradling the calcaneus, the retrocalcaneal bursa and the base of the Achilles tendon. The heel support assembly may also include a heel cradle extending around an external portion of the upper and including a lasting allowance. The heel cradle can provide torsional support in the arch region (or waist) of the article of footwear, for example when the heel support assembly is incorporated into an article of footwear with a strobel construction.

The computing device may be configured to compare identification information with reference identification information to determine whether a user is authorized to access an interior of the luggage. Based on results of the comparison, the computing device may control a locking mechanism to unlock one or more of lids of the luggage to allow a user access to the interior of the luggage. The luggage may also include a GPS transceiver for tracking the luggage, a sensor for weighing the luggage, or a coupling mechanism to couple the luggage to another piece of luggage.

The hair styling device further comprises a strap comprising a first end, and a second end, wherein the first end of the strap is fixedly attached to the cylindrical body adjacent to the proximal cylindrical top end and the second end of the strap is configured to be helically wound around the cylindrical body and removably attached to the cylindrical body adjacent to the distal cylindrical bottom end.
