A motion sensor can be triggered by the leading foot of a pitcher. The motion sensor can use cone or fan shaped sensor to detect the passage of a pitched ball from the pitcher. When the motion sensor is triggered, a signal can be sent to a black out lens that blocks the vision of a hitter being trained to identify the types and locations of the pitched balls. The training includes changing the lens from transparent to opaque at selected distances between the hitter and the pitcher. Batters can be trained to keep their eyes on the pitched balls until the ball reaches the batter. Baseball and softball batters can be trained to focus on the contact point between the ball and a swinging bat.

The present invention is a device to be worn by a user as an athletic training or exercising aid, or a therapeutic aid, helping the user to maintain proper body alignment during a specific body movement involving the hips. In one embodiment, the device comprises a base from which extends an arm, the arm attached to the base by a pivot or hinge point, that allows the arm to move along a linear arc when force is applied to the device, such as the force exerted by a user upon rotation of the hip.

Abstract: An eyeglass assembly for training golfers includes first and second lenses that are opaque except at first and second viewing portions. Abstract: A saltwater evaporation mechanism for the desalination of saltwater. The saltwater evaporation mechanism has an elevated saltwater reservoir with a bottom, sidewalls and an open upper end, a receiving reservoir with a bottom, sidewalls, and an open upper end, and a tunnel extending therebetween. The tunnel has a top panel, a bottom panel, and two side panels and is angled at a downward slope. The top panel extends from the tunnel to entirely cover the open upper end of the saltwater reservoir. Support legs equipped with wheels are positioned below the tunnel, allowing the tunnel to be easily moved and rotated when desired. A heat source is positioned underneath the saltwater reservoir and configured to heat the contents therein, creating water vapor. The water vapor condenses into desalinated water in the tunnel and is deposited in the receiving reservoir. In some embodiments, the heat source is powered by solar energy.

Abstract: A method for removing contaminants such as pesticides and fungicides from cannabinoid extracts. Cannabinoid extracts containing contaminants may be dissolved in a water and ethanol solution, and then cooled to allow water-soluble contaminants to settle out of the mixture. The water and ethanol may then be removed via evaporation or distillation, leaving purified cannabinoids without contaminants. Contaminant removal may be incorporated into a method for producing a blended extract of cannabinoids and terpenes, which extracts terpenes using supercritical CO2, and extracts a cannabinoid concentrate from the residual material using a cold ethanol flush followed by distillation and then by contaminant removal; the CO2-extracted terpenes are then added back to the purified cannabinoid concentrate in a final blending step. Blending terpenes at the end of extraction may enhance the flavor and effectiveness of the purified cannabinoid concentrate.

Finally, the lubrication oil is separated from a fluid received from the second vacuum chamber by heating the fluid received from the second vacuum chamber while sealed in a third vacuum chamber to a third maximum specified temperature that his higher than the second maximum specified temperature and at a third specified pressure. The first, second and third pressures need not be different.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a modular distillation system incorporating a removable capsule for containing source material for extraction. Through the action of the invention, the steam distillation process described herein produces a substantially larger amount of volatile oil than a distillation system that does not use an enclosed, modular system. The present invention provides for an apparatus that allows for greater contact between the steam and plant matter during the distillation process through the use of a closed removable capsule containing relatively small amount of plant matter. Additionally, the present invention is directed to a system that allows the generation of higher quality distillate and considerably higher quantity of volatile oil extracts by forcing the steam to evenly disperse through a removable capsule, and by preventing the condensed liquid to return back to the boiling water within the vessel.

Abstract: Clay treatment apparatuses and methods for processing hydrocarbon products using clay treatment apparatuses are disclosed. In one exemplary embodiment, a clay treatment apparatus includes a vessel enclosing an interior space, an active clay material disposed within the interior space of the vessel, and a clay retention structure positioned above a bottom head portion of the vessel. The clay retention structure includes a wire mesh coupled with a perforated plate.
