  • Patent number: 9956706
Abstract: A three-dimensional mesh-like body is disposed on a molding face of a lower mold onto which a liquid raw material of flexible foam is poured. An upper mold is laid over the lower mold to form a cavity, a projection projected on the upper mold toward the cavity is contacted with the three-dimensional mesh-like body, and the three-dimensional mesh-like body is fixed. The three-dimensional mesh-like body is attached and fixed to a front surface of a pad main body, so that the three-dimensional mesh-like body can be prevented from being displaced with respect to the pad main body. Moreover, the position of the three-dimensional mesh-like body can be prevented from being displaced in the process of foaming the liquid raw material because of the projection, and a vent hole can be formed on the pad main body. As a result, a sweaty feeling can be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 9956711
Abstract: This invention describes a modified electrospinning method for making uniformly patterned and porous nanofibrous scaffolds that can be utilized in a variety of applications. While traditional electrospinning method uses a foil collector that generates compact layers of nanofibrous structures, resulting on the superficial cell growth and differentiation, the present method comprises adopting additional patterned film(s) on top of the conventional collector to make a patterned porous structure of nanofibrous scaffolds that are capable of supporting cell growth. For example, the method uses a double layered collector composed of a water soluble stabilizer film mounted on a foil to make a uniformly patterned and porous nanofibrous membrane sheets, which enhance both cell growth and attachment.

The non-halogen low dielectric epoxy composite uses a high-purity DOPO (9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene 10-oxide) derivative as tiny particles dispersing in the composite. The crosslinking yield of the composite is not reduced, while the heat resistance and flame retardancy are increased. The prepreg and copper foil covered laminate for use in printed circuit board, made from the epoxy composite, has great dielectric property and high glass transition temperature (GTT), satisfying the need of high frequency in electronic signal transmission and high speed in data processing of the industry of copper covered printed circuit board.

Abstract: Devices, systems and techniques are described for producing and implementing articles and materials having nano-scale and microscale structures that exhibit superhydrophobic, superoleophobic or omniphobic surface properties and other enhanced properties. In one aspect, a surface nanostructure can be formed by adding a silicon-containing buffer layer such as silicon, silicon oxide or silicon nitride layer, followed by metal film deposition and heating to convert the metal film into balled-up, discrete islands to form an etch mask. The buffer layer can be etched using the etch mask to create an array of pillar structures underneath the etch mask, in which the pillar structures have a shape that includes cylinders, negatively tapered rods, or cones and are vertically aligned. In another aspect, a method of fabricating microscale or nanoscale polymer or metal structures on a substrate is made by photolithography and/or nano imprinting lithography.

Abstract: In certain example embodiments, light emitting diodes (LEDs) may be disposed on a deformable and flexible backbone sheet and chained together in an array, e.g., via flexible wiggle wires. Such flexible wiggle wires may also provide an electrical connection to an external power source. An optical out-coupling layer stack (OCLS) system may help serve as an index matching layer, heat sink, étendue conserver, etc. The backbone may be formed to a shape tailored to its ultimate application. Applications may include, for example, automotive (such as Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) applications), lighting, signage, and/or other applications. In an example CHMSL application, the deformable sheet with the LED array thereon has a step, sinusoidal, or other shape matched to the angle and/or curvature of the glass such that the LEDs produce light primarily in a direction parallel to a surface on which a vehicle is located.
