Abstract: A view friendly monitor system provides a monitor and a sequence of views that are regions of interest. The monitor can display a region of the camera view; the system is configured such that the displayed region of the camera view is a region of interest to the user. The displayed portion of the camera view changes to match the changing interests of the user. For example, a user that is interested to see a view in a direction beyond a certain edge of the monitor would move her head generally in an opposite direction. To see farther outside the edge, she needs to move her head farther in the opposite direction. In response to her head movement, the view friendly monitor system would change the region of interest based on the direction and the length of her head movement and display the new region of interest on the monitor.

Abstract: A guard assembly for an exterior of a vehicle. The assembly includes an outer section, an intermediate section, and an inner section telescopically engaged with each other. The intermediate and inner sections can be slidably extended from the outer section so that the length of the assembly can be customized for each particularly vehicle. The sections are engaged by a rail and complementary slot mechanism, which allows for the sections to be moved longitudinally with respect to each other. Each section includes a magnet positioned on their lower surfaces. The magnet allows the assembly to be removably secured to the exterior surface of the door of a vehicle. The sections are additionally configured so that their lower surfaces are coplanar with each other when the sections are extended, allowing the assembly to rests flush against the exterior of the vehicle.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for an integrated bracket for securely retaining one or more cables of a harness to a vehicle body. In one example design, the integrated bracket may include a first plate with an opening to receive a fastener to securely attach the bracket to the vehicle body; an inlet gate coupled to the first plate; a second plate coupled and angled to the first plate; a protection shield extending from the first plate; and an exit gate attached to the second plate, each gate having an extending arm pair. In one example, by routing the cables of the harness through the bracket, and securely retaining the cables using clamps on the inlet and outlet gates, the bracket provides a simplified system for securely attaching the harness to the engine, thereby minimizing unnecessary cable movement, while reducing stresses exerted on the harness.
