  • Patent number: 10033511
Abstract: A method for operating at least a first of a plurality of co-located, non-time synchronous radios at a first location communicating data by frames with one or more other remote radios at a second and optionally additional locations in a wireless communication system, to synchronize first or uplink and/or second or downlink frame portions of the frames to mitigate interference between the co-located radios. A frame table of attributes of uplink and/or downlink frame portions associated with frames of the first radio is stored. The spectral content of transmissions from at least a second of the co-located radios is monitored. Based on the monitored spectral content, characteristics for uplink and/or downlink frame portions of the first co-located radio to mitigate interference with the at least second co-located radio are determined. Attributes in the frame table to enable interference-optimized uplink and/or downlink portions of frames of the first co-located radio are updated.

  • Patent number: 10033513
Abstract: A network-wide interference cancellation scheme estimates channel impulse responses related to Self Interference and the Mutual Interference, then reduces both the Self Interference and the Mutual Interference in the receiver of an Full Duplex device. Full Duplex gains may be capitalized upon and translated into system gain. The scheme is based on an extended Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) treatment of the whole Full Duplex network. The network-wide interference cancellation may be seen to be feasible when a unique pilot signal design and training structure are in place network-wide.

  • Patent number: 10033522
Abstract: A method and apparatus according to the present invention addresses and/or prevents lost protocol synchronization in HARQ systems caused by ACK/NACK errors. One embodiment detects lost synchronization errors for NDI-based retransmission protocols and restores synchronization by sending an explicit RESET message. In response to the RESET message, the transmitter aborts the transmission of a current PDU and transmits a new PDU and corresponding NDI. Another embodiment prevents protocol synchronization errors by sending scheduling grants on a packet by packet basis. The receiver sends a subsequent explicit scheduling grant to the transmitter based on an error evaluation of a received PDU. The transmitter will not send the next PDU unless it receives the subsequent explicit scheduling grant.

Advertisements for services within a first subnet by an advertising station are forwarded to the SDN controller. Parameters of the service of the advertising station are extracted for storage by performing deep packet inspection on the one or more packets. Queries for services within a second subnet by a querying station are also forwarded to the SDN controller. Parameters of the service of the querying station are extracted for storage by performing deep packet inspection on the one or more packets. The query for service to the advertisement matches responsive to the advertisement parameters compared to the query parameters. Responsive to matching, a set of connection parameters necessary for the querying station at the second subnet to connect to the advertising station at the first subnet is sent.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting potentially active user equipment (UE) in a network are provided. A set of potentially active UEs is detected using an iterative method. In a first iteration UE detection is performed using compressed sensing (CS) based on first pilot sequences to detect a first set of potentially active UEs. Channel estimation is then performed for the first set of potentially active UEs. In subsequent iterations, UE detection is performed using CS to detect another set, typically reduced in size, of potentially active UEs using results of the channel estimation from the previous iteration. Channel estimation is then again performed for the new set of potentially active UEs. After the last iteration, the set of potentially active UEs detected in the last iteration is output as the determined set of potentially active UEs along with channel estimates for the set of potentially active UEs determined in last iteration.

Abstract: Digital video signals are transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver via a digital video interface including shielded twisted pair cables that are surrounded by an over-braid shield. The over-braid shield is connected to a chassis ground at a transmitting end and the receiving end. An interface conveys the received signals to receiver processing circuitry. The interface is connected to an isolated ground, isolating the receiver processing circuitry. The twisted pairs are also connected to the isolated ground, such that a return current is forced back through the twisted pair cable shields rather than the over-braid shield. This reduces electromagnetic emissions and confines transients primarily to the over-braid shield.
