  • Patent number: 10049767
Abstract: A prescribed diagnostic blood test panel is directed to countering autistic and mentally affected births and assessing the continued healthy mental state of the elderly. Six neurotoxins in the blood are analyzed, five of which can produce damage to the brain, namely aluminum, arsenic, lead, mercury and manganese. The sixth, selenium, although a toxin at high levels is in fact a protective element for the brain within a certain concentration range providing important cleansing mechanisms for the alien neurotoxins. This test establishes a baseline set of values for these six neurotoxins and provides guidance for preventive measures to minimize potential risk of neurological consequences. This reduces the risk of autism in new births and is especially valuable to the general public in providing a tool to possibly avoid the consequences of diseases in old age such as dementia, Parkinson's or Alzheimer's.

  • Patent number: 10049776
Abstract: Modifications to power plants for moderating climate warming and increasing safety combine a large compressed air energy storage (CAES) system with a thermal power plant such that free power plant waste heat replaces natural gas used at existing and planned CAES facilities. The system allows higher percentages of wind and solar energy on existing grids. The compressed air in a companion CAES can cool a nuclear reactor during an emergency. Also an inexpensive, add-on, external, Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) can cool a nuclear reactor after shutdown, even when all internal cooling water circulation has been disabled. All embodiments are installed outside the plant where they will not be damaged in the event of a plant accident. Both systems use environmentally friendly compressed air energy storage in new ways, and can be built and installed quickly around the world at existing plants using only proven infrastructure.

Abstract: In a laminated coil component, first coil conductor patterns define a coil opening that generates a magnetic flux in a first direction, second coil conductor patterns define a first coil opening that generates a magnetic flux in the first direction, and a second coil opening that generates a magnetic flux in a second direction. A difference in area between the first coil opening and the second coil opening determines a degree of coupling of the coil defined by the first coil conductor pattern and the coil defined by the second coil conductor pattern. This provides a close proximal arrangement of a plurality of coils proximally while significantly reducing or preventing unnecessary coupling between the coils.
