Abstract: A heat dissipating assembly suited for an electronic device is provided. The electronic device has at least one heat source. The heat dissipating assembly includes a first tube, a second tube, and a fluid. The first tube has an inlet and an outlet, wherein a bore size of the inlet is smaller than a bore size of the outlet. Heat generated from the heat source is transferred to the first tube. Two opposite ends of the second tube are connected to the inlet and the outlet such that the first and the second tubes are formed into a closed loop. The fluid is filled in the closed loop. The fluid in the first tube transferred from the inlet toward the outlet absorbs the heat and is transferred to the second tube for heat dissipating. An electronic device is also provided.

Abstract: The invention provides multiple secure virtualized environments operating in parallel with optimal resource usage, power consumption and performance. The invention provides a method whereby virtual machines (VMs) have direct access to the computing system's hardware without adding traditional virtualization layers while the hypervisor maintains hardware-enforced isolation between VMs, preventing risks of cross-contamination. Additionally, some of the VMs can be deactivated and reactivated dynamically when needed, which saves the computing system resources. As a result, the invention provides bare-metal hypervisor use and security but without the limitations that make such hypervisors impractical, inefficient and inconvenient for use in mobile devices due to the device's limited CPU and battery power capacity.

Abstract: On a typical motherboard the processor and memory are separated by a printed circuit data bus that traverses the motherboard. Throughput, or data transfer rate, on the data bus is much lower than the rate at which a modern processor can operate. The difference between the data bus throughput and the processor speed significantly limits the effective processing speed of the computer when the processor is required to process large amounts of data stored in the memory. The processor is forced to wait for data to be transferred to or from the memory, leaving the processor under-utilized. The delays are compounded in a distributed computing system including a number of computers operating in parallel. The present disclosure describes systems, method and apparatus that tend to alleviate delays so that memory access bottlenecks are not compounded within distributed computing systems.

Abstract: A navigation device with distance detecting function can utilize a distance detecting mechanism to detect a distance relative to a working surface. The distance detecting mechanism includes a base, a connecting component, a feature unit and a detection unit. The connecting component partly protrudes from the base. The connecting component optionally contacts against or is spaced from the working surface to generate a distance variation relative to the base along an axial direction. The feature unit is disposed on the connecting component. The detection unit is connected to the base. The detection unit can detect parameter difference of the feature unit according to the distance variation of the connecting component relative to the base, so as to determine the distance between the working surface and a bottom of the base via the parameter difference.

Abstract: A method is disclosed to detect a tilt angle of a pen-shaped position indicator relative to a sensor surface of a tablet. The position indicator includes a first pen electrode and a second pen electrode. The sensor surface includes X electrodes and Y electrodes that intersect each other. The position indicator transmits a first signal from the first pen electrode and a second signal from the second pen electrode. The tablet detects a first signal intensity level V1 of the first signal based on a highest signal level Vpx1 detected in one of the X electrodes in response to the first signal, and detects a second signal intensity level V2 of the second signal based on a highest signal level Vpx2 detected in one of the X electrodes in response to the second signal. The tablet determines a tilt angle of the pen-shaped position indicator relative to the sensor surface based on a difference between the first signal intensity level V1 and the second signal intensity level V2.

Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing two devices in communication with each other. When communication between the two devices is to be established, a synchronization process may be invoked. In an embodiment, a first device may initiate sending synchronization signals having rising edge and falling edge pairs. The second device may include a controller configured to receive the synchronization signals. However, noise may inhibit the ability of the controller to correctly receive and/or interpret the synchronization signals. Noise may cause detection components to falsely detect noise as a synchronization signal or may cause detection components to miss detection of an actual synchronization signal. A window generator may be used to generate comparison windows for the controller to detect synchronization signals.
