  • Patent number: 10065167
Abstract: A method and device for processing a liquid with cavitation uses a channel element with passageways having local constrictions and a moving rotor surrounding the channel element. The rotor contains a plurality of rotor channels that are moved during rotation to periodically line up with the passageways in the channel element. To operate the device, liquid is passed through the local constriction in the passageway into an outlet channel at a velocity of at least 1.4 m/s at the exit of the outlet channel to form cavitation bubbles. Cavitation bubbles in the liquid in the outlet channel are collapsed by subjecting the cavitation bubbles to a water hammer hydraulic pulse pressure resulting from periodically rapidly closing of the outlet channel by rotation of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 10065204
Abstract: A disperser system includes a disperser body that defines a substantially air-tight chamber therein. A sprayer assembly includes a passage, a fluid coupling, a nozzle, a valve, a valve trigger and a pouch. The passage is in fluid communication with the chamber. The valve is in fluid communication with both the passage and the fluid coupling and opens to the nozzle. The valve trigger is configured selectively to open the valve, thereby placing the passage and the fluid coupling in fluid communication with the nozzle. The pouch contains a fluid. When the chamber is charged with a gas and when the valve is opened, the gas flows through the passage and the fluid flows through the fluid coupling into the valve so that the gas entrains the fluid and delivers a suspension of the gas and the fluid to the nozzle, out of which the suspension is sprayed.

  • Patent number: 10065205
Abstract: A liquid atomizer has an actuator, cap, piston unit and body. The actuator consists of an exterior casing, a locking block within the case, a nozzle and a piston receiving area that is in liquid communication with the nozzle. The cap has a pair of locking flanges separated by a locking channel dimensioned to receive the locking block as the actuator is depressed. A pair of stops, separated by a stop channel, prevent over rotation of the actuator. The piston unit has a piston whose proximal end has ribs and is dimensioned to be received within the ring containing piston receiving area in a juxtaposed manner. The dimensioning between the rings and the piston ribs permit disengagement, by the piston tilting under the rotational pressure enough to permit the actuator to lift slightly in order to clear the locking flanges.

  • Patent number: 10065208
Abstract: Whether or not a liquid is discharged from a nozzle is determined from an image. An index value larger in a discharge state than in a non-discharge state is calculated from an evaluation area including a path of the liquid. The discharge state or the non-discharge state is determined according to a relationship between the index value and a reference value. The reference value is determined according to a histogram of index values obtained from a plurality of images collected in advance. When an evaluation value indicating a peak position or the sharpness of a peak is smaller than a predetermined threshold value in the histogram, the collected images are assumed to show the non-discharge state. When the evaluation value is larger than the threshold value, the collected images are assumed to show the discharge state. Thus, the reference value is set for the discharge state and the non-discharge state.
