Abstract: An electronic device includes at least an acquisition unit, an input unit, a time correction amount calculation unit, and a transmitting unit. A timepiece includes at least a receiving unit, a power storage unit, a drive unit, and a control unit. The input unit receives an input of the time displayed by the display unit of the timepiece. The time correction amount calculation unit calculates a time correction amount for correcting the time of the timepiece from a difference between the time, the input of which is received by the input unit and the current time acquired by the acquisition unit. The transmitting unit transmits the time correction amount to the timepiece by using light. The receiving unit receives the time correction amount. The power storage unit stores electricity by using power converted from the light. The drive unit drives the indicating hand. The control unit corrects the time displayed by the indicating hand, based on the time correction amount received by the receiving unit.

  • Patent number: 10067483
Abstract: In an embodiment, a lifetime controller is configured to monitor operating conditions for a device, and to control operating conditions based on the previous conditions to improve the reliability characteristics of the device while permitting strenuous use as available. For example, the lifetime controller may permit strenuous use when the device is first powered on. Once a specified amount of strenuous use has occurred, the controller may cause the operating conditions to be reduced to reduce the wear on the device, and thus help to extend the lifetime of the device. Similarly, if a device is used in less strenuous conditions, the controller may accumulate credit which may be expended by permitting the device to operate in more strenuous conditions for a period of time.

  • Patent number: 10067485
Abstract: The present invention provides novel techniques for optimizing and controlling production plants using parametric multifaceted models. In particular, the parametric multifaceted models may be configured to convert a first set of parameters (e.g., control parameters) relating to a production plant into a second set of parameters (e.g., optimization parameters) relating to the production plant. In general, the first set of parameters will be different than the second set of parameters. For example, the first set of parameters may be indicative of low-level, real-time control parameters and the second set of parameters may be indicative of high-level, economic parameters. Utilizing appropriate parameterization may allow the parametric multifaceted models to deliver an appropriate level of detail of the production plant within a reasonable amount of time.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to devices for extended insulation-fault search in an IT power supply system using a multifunctional test current, wherein, selectively and depending on the application, the test current functions as a voltage compensation current so as to compensate a voltage increase in an active conductor of the IT power supply system, as a tripping current so as to trip a residual current protection device arranged in a subsystem of the IT power supply system and/or as a leakage-capacitance compensation current so as to compensate a capacitive leakage current. The test current can fulfil more than one of the cited functions simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 10067521
Abstract: A low dropout regulator includes a PMOS power transistor, a feedback network, an error amplifier and an active enhanced PSRR unit. The PMOS power transistor has a first end coupled to an input voltage, and a second end coupled to a load and the feedback network. The error amplifier receives a feedback signal generated from the feedback network, compares the feedback signal with a reference voltage to generate a difference value, and amplifies the difference value to generate an error signal. The active enhanced PSRR unit has one end coupled to the first end, and another end coupled to a control end of the PMOS power transistor and the error amplifier, detects an input voltage of the first end, and correspondingly adjusts a voltage of the control end to stabilize a voltage between the control end and the first end according to a variation of the input voltage.

  • Patent number: 10067523
Abstract: A data center energy management (DCEM) server configures a power supply in the data center. The DCEM server sums input alternating current (AC) power of the power supply to a total AC power of the data center, wherein the total AC power of the data center is a sum of AC power of a plurality of power supplies. The DCEM server sums output direct current (DC) power of the power supply to a total DC power of the data center and reports a ratio of total AC power to total DC power as data center power conversion efficiency. The DCEM server sets a preset power supply efficiency threshold. The DCEM server determines that a real-time power efficiency level is below the power supply efficiency threshold. The DCEM server, responsive to a determination that real-time power efficiency level is below the power supply efficiency threshold, may remedy the power supply.
