Abstract: A well penetrating a subterranean formation may be subjected to a multi-path gravel packing operation by using a fluid containing an ultra lightweight particulate having an apparent specific gravity less than or equal to 2.45 which is substantially neutrally buoyant in a carrier fluid. The fluid is flowed through one or more transport tubes which, with a gravel packing screen, constitute a screen assembly. A gravel pack is formed onto the screen of the screen assembly in-situ.

Abstract: Systems and methods for operating a linear motor (e.g., for an ESP), where the motor's mover moves in a reciprocating motion within a bore of the stator. Hard stops are located at the ends of the bore. The motor has a first set of sensors in the stator positioned proximate to the bore. When the mover moves in the bore, the sensors produce corresponding output signals, except when the mover is in a position near, but not in contact with a hard stop. While the sensors produce output signals, the motor is driven in a first direction toward the hard stop. When the sensors stop producing the output signals, the mover has reached the first position, and the motor is controlled to reverse the direction of the mover.

Abstract: In one example, an integrated well survey management and planning tool is implemented by a computer system. The tool receives a trajectory of a proposed well from a surface to a subterranean geological target to be reached by drilling the well, and a survey plan indicating the number, position and survey type of surveys to be performed on the well while drilling. The tool applies multiple error models based on the survey type for drilling the well. Each error model defines a respective uncertainty in reaching the subterranean geological target by drilling the well along the received trajectory. The tool displays, in a user interface, the received trajectory of the well and an uncertainty indicator determined by applying the multiple error models. The uncertainty indicator represents a combination of respective uncertainties defined by the multiple error models and indicates an uncertainty in drilling the well on the received trajectory.

Considerations of the environment and type of operation may be considered prior to the deployment of a downhole tool such that the downhole tool comprises modules that may be optimized. Certain modules may be activated for specific operations without having to extract the downhole tool as all modules necessary to perform the specific tasks for a given operation are included prior to deployment of the downhole tool. The one or more modules may be optimized in real time based, for example, on received measurements or previous survey results. Abstract: Systems and methods for adjusting blade tip clearance targets and utilizing the adjusted targets to optimize the clearances between the blade tips and surrounding shrouds of a turbine engine are provided. In one exemplary aspect, one or more engine controllers utilize a machine-learned model to customize blade tip clearance targets based on the way an engine has been uniquely operated in the past for a particular flight mission. Present flight data associated with a present flight of a given flight mission is obtained. A model blade tip clearance target is adjusted based at least in part on the machine-learned model and the present flight data. The machine-learned model is trained at least in part on past flight data indicative of the manner in which the turbine engine has been operated for one or more past flights of the flight mission. An adjusted blade tip clearance target is then generated.

The methods include introducing a foamed, acid-including detergent with a pH range of between 2 and 7 into a gas flowpath of the turbine engine. The methods also include creating a pressure differential in an aft portion of the gas flowpath with respect to a forward portion of the gas flowpath to generate a flow of the detergent therethrough. The methods further include creating a pressure differential in a forward portion of the gas flowpath with respect to an aft portion of the gas flowpath to generate a counterflow of the detergent therethrough.
