Abstract: A pressure washer and a method for recognizing a spray boom of the pressure washer. The pressure washer includes a housing, including a pump with a motor; a spray boom with a trigger member; and a control part, for recognizing the spray boom connected to the housing, and performing on and off control based on a recognition result or controlling the housing to convey a water flow of a corresponding pressure to the outside based on a recognition result. The pressure washer may be installed with spray booms of different models, so as to expand an applicable range of the pressure washer and improve flexibility of the pressure washer without changing the housing. Moreover, on and off control can be performed according to the recognition result, so as to prevent the housing from being started when no port accessory is mounted.

Abstract: Provided are molds, comprising non-metal base portions and protective optical layers that cover and shield these base portions from laser ablation. For example, a protective optical layer may reflect a laser beam used for ablating the mold. Methods of forming these protective optical layers on non-metal base portions are also provided. In some embodiments, this protective optical layer is the outermost layer exposed to the environment. Alternatively, the protective optical layer may be covered by a release layer. The release layer may be retained or removed during laser ablation. In some embodiments, light emitted by a mold during laser ablation is analyzed to determine performance of its protective optical layer. This feedback may be used to control the laser ablation such as to control orientation of the laser beam relative to the mold.

Abstract: An adapter tool with a drill bit is provided that selectively connects to a driver to provide added versatility to the driver. The adapter tool includes a spring with an engagement end that extends through a body to selectively engage a recess in the driver. A user can actuate the spring to quickly engage and disengage the adapter from the driver. In practice, a user can use the adapter-driver combination to drill a pilot hole using the drill bit on the adapter, selectively remove the adapter from the driver, and then put a screw into the pilot hole using the driver.

Abstract: A clamping device for clamping a workpiece or a tool or, more specifically, a tool holding fixture in a machine part of a machine tool includes a tension rod slidably mounted within the machine part; a clamping set movable by the tension rod between clamped and released positions; a tension spring dedicated to the tension rod so as to generate the pull-in force of the clamping set; and a release mechanism, by which the clamping set can be moved against the force of the tension spring into the released position by the tension rod. To make possible effective clamping at optimum force, the tension spring is clamped between first and second rod parts of the tension rod. The second rod part can move relative to the first rod part, and, as the clamping set moves into the released position, is compressed on both ends by the release mechanism by moving the two rod parts in opposite directions.

Abstract: Automation of soldering work may be difficult, in part because present systems may be configured to dispense solder in a uniform preset amount. Provided are systems and methods in which soldering products (such as soldering paste and soldering wire) are dispensed adjustably. An example method includes receiving, by a computing device, a first weight reading of a part container prior to dispensing of solder product and a second weight reading of the part container after the solder product is dispensed. The computing device may determine an amount of dispensed solder product based comparing the first weight reading with the second weight reading, and may determine whether the amount of dispensed solder product falls within an accepted range. If not, a second length of time of different length may be generated for use in a future dispensing of the solder product.
