Abstract: A dust collector provided with a shunt guide plate includes a main body, a filter drum, a dust collecting barrel and an induced draft device. A cover plate is fixed between the main body and the dust collecting barrel, having a central portion bored with an insert hole corresponding to the main body, and a guide plate is transversely disposed under the cover plate. Thus, the induced draft device is started to absorb airflow with dust into the main body and, when passing through the insert hole of the cover plate, the airflow will be stopped by the guide plate and forced to flow through two sides of the guide plate to form a shunt effect. Thus, when airflow gets into the dust collecting barrel, the dust in the dust collecting barrel will not be affected to rise, enhancing dust collecting effect of the dust collecting barrel.

Abstract: An air cleaning apparatus with a moist filter is disclosed. More particularly, the present invention relates to an air cleaning apparatus with a moist filter, being operated such that: water stored in a bottom reservoir tank flows upward in a centrifugal manner; water molecules are finely cleaved in a microfine state and injected through multiple injection holes in the same centrifugal manner to become moist; under such conditions, water flowing into a rotational column, to which a centrifugal force is applied, is filtered while circulating a cycle wherein external air inflowing through air input holes formed below a moist layer is adhered to water molecules in the moist layer and drops down, thereby enabling ultrafine dust as well as fine dust to be filtered with high efficiency and excellent economic advantage.

Abstract: An undesirable constituent gas from the flue gas stream of a fossil fuel-fired power plant, especially carbon dioxide, CO2, which is a potent greenhouse gas, is captured in a recirculating solvent-based absorption operation such as with an amine-based solvent. The solvent is exposed to flue gases for capture of the undesirable constituent, then heated to extract captured undesirable constituent for disposal, also regenerating the gas-rich solvent to gas-lean solvent for re-use. Absorption is continuous and uses the lean solvent at a rate proportional to the combustion rate. Solvent regeneration and its associated power loading are deferred and time-shifted to periods when the plant is operating below its peak power level. At high or peak power levels, rich solvent from absorption is accumulated in a storage vessel. At off-peak times, rich solvent accumulated in the storage vessel is regenerated together with rich solvent from concurrent absorption.

Abstract: Active catalysts for the treatment of a low temperature exhaust gas stream are provided containing potassium (K) dispersed on a spinel oxide for the direct, lean removal of nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas stream. The low temperature (from about 400° C. to about 650° C.), direct decomposition is accomplished without the need of a reductant molecule. In one example, K may be dispersed on a surface of a metal oxide support, such as NiFe2O4 spinel oxide, synthesized using wet impregnation techniques. The K/NiFe2O4 catalyst system converts nitric oxide to nitrogen gas with high product specificity, up to 100%, avoiding the production of a significant concentration of the undesirable N2O product.

Adsorption of anionic contaminants onto the two composite beads was investigated and compared with pristine sodium alginate beads (SA) and chitosan beads (CS). The novel MOFs/SA beads all exhibit much higher adsorption capacity than SA beads; the novel MOFs/CS beads all exhibit much higher adsorption capacity than CS beads, which indicates that MOFs played a key role in the adsorption of anionic contaminants.
