Abstract: A game control method, game server, and program can increase variations on methods for acquiring items, increase the predictability of acquisition of an item with a high rarity value or the like, and heighten interest in the game. Included are the steps of presenting a communication terminal, connected over a communication line, with acquirable item information that, for each item type, includes a total count and an acquisition count or a non-acquisition count of items when receiving, from the communication terminal, a request to present information related to items acquirable by the communication terminal, determining an item to provide to the communication terminal when receiving an item acquisition request from the communication terminal, and changing the acquirable item information when receiving a reset request from the communication terminal.

Abstract: In a first information processing apparatus, a plurality of users can be registered. When an application is executed, any of the registered users is selected as an application executing user. Execution state data in which application information indicating the application being executed is associated with the selected user is transmitted to a server. In the server, the execution state data is aggregated to generate aggregate data. In this case, the aggregation is performed such that an execution state of the application is recognizable for each application executing user. The aggregate data is transmitted in response to a request from a second information processing apparatus. The second information processing apparatus displays the execution state of the application for each application executing user on the basis of the received aggregate data.

Abstract: Filter media, as well as related components, systems, and methods, are described herein. In some embodiments, the filter media comprises one or more layers including, for example, a pre-filter layer and a main filter layer. The pre-filter layer may comprise a non-woven web (e.g., a wet-laid non-woven web). In some instances, the non-woven web comprises two or more phases. Each phase of the pre-filter layer may be characterized by a surface average fiber diameter (SAFD), and the SAFD may vary across at least a portion of the thickness of the pre-filter layer. The filter media may have improved dust-holding capacities for dust particles having a wide range of particle sizes, and/or improved mechanical strength (e.g., stiffness).

Abstract: The present invention provides a blade group for demisting and dedusting, comprising a plurality of blades that are annularly arranged and a support mechanism for fixing the blades; wherein the blade comprises a section of curved plate, a cross section of the curved plate being a gradually-varied arc curve whose curvature increases progressively along an airflow direction. When gas carrying fine mist droplets or fine dust particles are passing through the blade group for demisting and dedusting, since the gas is different from the mist droplets or dust particles in terms of mass, separation of the gas from the liquid or dust under the effect of inertia is promoted. Especially, the gradually-varied blade curve enables the droplets or dusts to be captured and removed efficiently under the effect of a constantly-varied inertia and a drag force, which remarkably improves the working efficiency in combination with a washing device.

Abstract: A swirling flow generator for gas-liquid separation includes a swirling flow generating ribbon that swirls a gas-liquid two-phase fluid flowing through an inlet pipe to guide a liquid toward an inner surface of the inlet pipe by centrifugal force. A terminal end of the swirling flow generating ribbon where the gas-liquid two-phase fluid flows out includes a first terminal edge and a second terminal edge. The first and second terminal edges connect a first terminal end point, a second terminal end point, and a middle terminal end point. The first terminal end point is in one of radially outward ends and the second terminal end point is in the other of the radially outward ends. The middle terminal end point is closer to the side where the gas-liquid two-phase fluid flows in than the first and second terminal end points and is on an axial line.

Abstract: A gas-liquid separator includes the inlet pipe and an inner pipe. The inlet pipe receives a swirling flow generating ribbon, and includes an exhaust port through which a separated gas flows out and a drain port through which a separated liquid flows out. The outer diameter of the inner pipe is smaller than the inner diameter of the inlet pipe. An end of the inner pipe is inserted into the exhaust port and is open at a location downstream of the swirling flow generating ribbon. A terminal end of the swirling flow generating ribbon (30) includes a first terminal edge and a second terminal edge. The first and second terminal edges connect a first terminal end point, a second terminal end point, and a middle terminal end point.

Abstract: A portable air filter and method of use are provided. The portable air filter includes a semi-permeable air filter, optionally disposed within a frame. An attachment surface, such as an adhesive, is disposed on the frame, for attaching the portable air filter to an air vent. In certain embodiments, a second air filter and frame are slidably connected to the frame. If the portable air filter is not disposed within a frame, the portable air filter is cut to fit over an air vent, and an adhesive, such as tape, is provided for a user to attach the cut filter to fit over the air vent. The method includes attaching the portable air filter to an air vent by pressing the adhesive to a wall, ceiling, or floor such that the portable air filter covers the air vent. The invention is useful for improving air quality in a variety of spaces, including in an airplane, in a hotel, on a cruise ship, on a travel bus, and other public spaces.
