Abstract: Disclosed is a urea plant wherein, in deviation from conventional plants, a high-pressure synthesis section is operated with two different pressures. The synthesis section comprises a reactor, which is operated under a first high pressure. The synthesis section also comprises a stripper and a condenser, both operated at substantially the same second high pressure. In accordance with the invention, the first pressure is substantially higher than the second pressure. The disclosed plant particularly comprises a compression unit capable of converting a pressure difference into work, or more specifically, mechanical energy for compression. This compression unit is positioned between a liquid outlet of the condenser and a liquid inlet of the reactor, and in fluid communication therewith. In order to make use of a pressure drop (expansion as a result of a liquid being depressurized), said compression unit is configured to obtain compression energy from one or more events in the urea production process (i.e.

A flow restrictable inlet may be used to adjust flow through the nozzle and to adjust the maximum throw radius. The nozzle may also include a flow reduction valve to reduce the throw radius from a maximum distance and may be adjusted by actuation of an outer wall of the nozzle. A deflector for use with an irrigation nozzle is also provided.

Abstract: In a mist nozzle, a liquid stored in a liquid storage tank is pressurized by a liquid supplier and is supplied to the mist nozzle, so that a liquid flow is introduced from an upstream of a gas-liquid mixing section and a vicinity of a wall surface of the gas-liquid mixing section into the gas-liquid mixing section on an outer lid side. A pressurized gas is supplied from a gas supplier from a facing surface, so that a gas flow introduces into the gas-liquid mixing section and collides with the liquid flow, and a gas-liquid mixed flow is advanced to a spout portion while circulating the wall surface of the gas-liquid mixing section on the outer lid side. Therefore, it is possible to promote atomization of the liquid in the gas-liquid mixing section and spray a liquid having a smaller particle diameter.

Abstract: A nozzle assembly including an inner tube and an outer housing. The inner tube terminates at an outlet end and defines a first flow passage. The first flow passage directs first fluid flow to the outlet end in a primary flow direction. The outer housing includes a tubular side wall and an end wall. The tubular side wall defines a central axis. The end wall defines an exit orifice and an interior guide structure. The outlet end is axially aligned with the exit orifice. A second flow passage is established between the inner tube and the outer housing. The interior guide structure is configured and arranged relative to the outlet end to direct at least a portion of a second fluid flow from the second flow passage toward the outlet end in a direction initially opposite the primary flow direction for generating mixed fluid flow.
