Abstract: A side-by-side cartridge assembly for dispensing a first fluid and a second fluid includes a first cartridge body and a second cartridge body having first and second cartridge coupling elements, respectively. The first cartridge body extends along an axial direction and has a radial boundary or periphery transverse to the axial direction. The first cartridge has a first neck portion of a neck, and the second cartridge has a second neck portion of the neck. The first neck portion projects from the first cartridge body such that the first neck portion is within the radial boundary or periphery of the first cartridge. As such, the first cartridge coupling element operatively connects to the second cartridge coupling element to secure the first cartridge to the second cartridge and form the neck for discharging a first fluid and a second fluid.

Abstract: A dispenser with a transfer assembly is arranged to efficiently transfer a stored liquid from a reservoir in a body of the dispenser to an applicator. The transfer assembly includes an adapter, applicator base, piston and a bias member. The adapter is in contact with the body and has a central member with orifices to fluidly couple the applicator base to the reservoir. The applicator base is supported by and extends beyond the adapter. The applicator base forms a cavity for housing the piston and the bias member. A tubular member of the applicator base supports an applicator. The piston includes a passage that conveys the stored liquid from the cavity to the applicator. The bias member keeps the head of the piston against a surface of the central member. When stored liquid is under a pressure that exceeds a bias force, displacement of the piston, opens a seal.

Abstract: Provided are devices for coating a contoured surface or a three-dimensional structure, and methods of making and using the same. The devices have geometries that are in point contact with the contoured surface. The geometries are substantially rigid and are provided by a flexible applicator. In this way, the flexible applicator permits conformance to the surface contours, along with rigid point contact that provides uniform and consistent coverage of liquid material. Specifically, the devices comprise a handle and an applicator pliantly affixed to the handle, the applicator comprising a plurality of spaced geometries. The devices meter film-forming coating liquids onto contoured surfaces or three-dimensional structures to form uniform coatings and resulting uniform films.

The curing chamber has input and output openings to permit the product carrying a curable material to move therethrough. The curing light source generates a first curing light beam directed from the curing light source to a first portion of the product for curing the curable material carried on the first portion of the product within the curing chamber. The reflective surface directs a second curing light beam from the reflective surface to a second portion of the product for curing the curable material carried on the second portion of the product within the curing chamber. The second portion of the product is inaccessible by the first curing light beam.

Abstract: A controller of a material handling system performs a method of dynamic spacing on a sortation conveyor by predicting fullness of divert destinations. Required tray spacing between inducted articles destined for the same divert destination can be reduced when the divert destination is calculated to have sufficient capacity. Fewer discharge commands need to be ignored due to insufficient tray spacing. The material handling systems can achieve higher throughput by having fewer articles that cannot be discharged to an assigned destination.
