Abstract: Embodiments relate to use of a particle accelerator beam to form thin films of material from a bulk substrate. In particular embodiments, a bulk substrate (e.g. donor substrate) having a top surface is exposed to a beam of accelerated particles. In certain embodiments, this bulk substrate may comprise GaN; in other embodiments this bulk substrate may comprise Si, SiC, or other materials. Then, a thin film or wafer of material is separated from the bulk substrate by performing a controlled cleaving process along a cleave region formed by particles implanted from the beam. In certain embodiments this separated material is incorporated directly into an optoelectronic device, for example a GaN film cleaved from GaN bulk material. In some embodiments, this separated material may be employed as a template for further growth of semiconductor materials (e.g. GaN) that are useful for optoelectronic devices.

Each nozzle in the array may include an individually controllable actuator and electrode for modulating the flowrate and charge of the liquid nanofiber source material. Through selectively applying pressure and voltage to individual nozzles, the location of the nanofiber relative to the array may be controlled through digital signals alone, without having to physically move any component of the electrospinning system. By simultaneously controlling the path of multiple nanofibers within the array, new and complex weaving patterns for braids may be achieved with enhanced strength and other properties at a scale previously unattainable.

Abstract: A drain system for a laundry appliance is provided. The laundry appliance may be configured as a clothes dryer having a heat exchanger to cool and condense moisture-laden air received from the laundry drum. The drain system utilizes a drain structure to catch condensate from the heat exchanger and evacuate the condensate to a sump area. A blower and blower channel moves the dry air from the heat exchanger back to the drum. To prevent negative pressure in the blower channel from moving the condensate to the sump area, an air channel between the blower channel and sump area provides air flow communication.

Abstract: A clothes drying hanger may comprise a main body, a plurality of clothespins, and a plurality of spacers. The main body has a first bar and a second bar which are parallel and spaced apart by a preferred distance, and at least two supporting bars are secured therebetween. A shifting board, which is parallel with the second bar, is movably abutted between an inner surface of the second bar and two ends of the two supporting bars close to the second bar. A handle is connected to an outer surface of the second bar through two parallel connecting rods which further penetrate through the second bar to connect to the shifting board such that through pressing the handle, the connecting rods can drive the shifting board to have parallel shift toward the first bar, thereby simultaneously releasing all of the clothes hanged on the clothespins by a single action.
