Publication number: 20190021556Abstract: A method of reducing sheet product waste generated during use of a sheet product dispenser in a particular location and over a broad range of usage rates includes designing a dispenser. The design includes determining a desired housing size to obtain a top to bottom height for sheet product roll storage within the housing, dividing the height by two to obtain a maximum roll diameter, locating two roll holders in the housing so that each holder may accept a roll having the maximum roll diameter, positioning a first roll of the maximum roll diameter in a first one of the two roll holders, and positioning a second roll of the maximum roll diameter in a second one of the two roll holders so that two rolls of equivalent length are configured to be dispensed sequentially from the dispenser. The installation and use of two rolls of maximum roll diameter reduces waste. Dispensers formed according to this method are also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2018Publication date: January 24, 2019Inventors: Paul James Ruthven, Lisa Hedden

At least one non-invasive peripheral device may measure physiologic data from a patient and be in communication with said central hub. A system including an invasive peripheral device may be associated with said patient and be in communication with said central hub. The central hub may be scalable to collect and communicate measurements from the non-invasive peripheral device and the invasive peripheral device. The at least one non-invasive peripheral device may include a blood pressure cuff, an oxygen sensor, a weight scale, and an ECG monitor. The invasive peripheral device may include a wireless sensor reader that may be adapted to measure physiologic data from a sensor implant placed within the cardiovascular system of said patient.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 19, 2018Publication date: January 24, 2019Inventors: Michael Nagy, Harry Rowland, Ariel Johnson, Brett Quas

Publication number: 20190021598Abstract: The present invention relates to an integrated catheter device for cardiovascular diagnosis and an image processing system using the same. According to an specific example of the invention, a cardiovascular image having a number of analytical aspects is obtained by acquiring an image in a cardiovascular region by one catheter using ultrasound, photoacoustic light, and near-infrared light, thereby enabling diagnosis of fibrosis of a blood vessel, atherosclerotic plaque, rupture prediction to be accurately performed. Since the catheter device is provided with the DCF for guiding near-infrared light having a predetermined wavelength in a core portion and guiding photoacoustic light and ultrasonic wave used in a clad portion, it is possible to guide light having different wave-lengths to the sample through the same path simultaneously.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2018Publication date: January 24, 2019Inventor: Joo Beom EOM

Publication number: 20190021599Abstract: A pulse signal corresponding to rotation of an imaging core is input, and a repetition frequency of the input pulse signal is converted in accordance with the number of radially-aligned lines of an ultrasound tomographic image. Based on the pulse signal of which the repetition frequency has been converted, a drive signal for an ultrasound transceiver is generated to obtain an ultrasound tomographic image with the number of lines. A valid pulse is determined in accordance with the number of lines from the pulse signal of which the repetition frequency has been converted. A signal having a pulse train selected, based on the valid pulse from a pulse signal representing a cycle of a light source of light for interfering with the light from an optical transceiver is generated as a pulse signal representing a timing of sampling of an optical coherence signal for generating an optical tomographic image.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2018Publication date: January 24, 2019Applicant: TERUMO KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventor: Ryo UEHARA

Publication number: 20190021600Abstract: In a method for synchronous magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and radiation therapy using a combined system having a radiation apparatus and an MR imaging apparatus, wherein the system is designed to record MR signals of a subject during irradiation of the subject, a three-dimensional MR volume data set of the subject is acquired that contains a target volume for the irradiation, the location of a central beam of the radiation therapy apparatus relative to the subject, is continuously determined, and a second MR image data set is determined, which is positioned essentially perpendicular to the central beam. If the location of the central beam changes, a correspondingly changed second MR image data set is determined perpendicular to the central beam.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2018Publication date: January 24, 2019Applicant: Siemens Healthcare GmbHInventors: David Grodzki, Arne Hengerer, Sebastian Schmidt

Publication number: 20190021602Abstract: Presented herein are systems and methods for tomographic imaging that provide for rapid illumination of multiple excitation locations across a large field of view by one or more beams of excitation light from one or more excitation sources. The approaches described herein utilize a galvanometer optical scanner to scan a beam of excitation light through a plurality of locations across a scan region corresponding to the field of view to be imaged. In certain embodiments, the systems and methods described herein utilize beams of excitation light with specifically tailored shapes to maintain small spot sizes across the large scan region. The ability to scan over a large region while still maintaining small spot sizes provided by the approaches described herein allows for accurate, high-resolution tomographic imaging of large or multiple subjects, thereby expanding the capabilities of tomographic imaging systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 19, 2017Publication date: January 24, 2019Inventors: William Hurley, Ali Behrooz, Michael Meltzer, Andrew Wilson

Publication number: 20190021604Abstract: A Q switch is vibrated by applying a first voltage, and pulsed laser light is emitted by applying a second voltage to the Q switch at a point in time at which a preset delay time has passed from the start of emission of excitation light. Then, in this case, a time which is within a period, for which the vibration of the Q switch continues, and at which the intensity of the pulsed laser light periodically changing due to the vibration of the Q switch is maximized in a case where a point in time of application of the second voltage to the Q switch is changed is set as the delay time.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2018Publication date: January 24, 2019Applicant: FUJIFILM CorporationInventors: Hiroyasu ISHII, Kazuhiro HIROTA
