Publication number: 20190054416Abstract: A method of separating impurities from a natural gas stream. The natural gas stream is cooled through heat exchange with one or more process streams to produce a chilled gas stream, which is contacted with a lean solvent stream in a contactor to separate hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from the chilled gas stream, thereby producing a rich solvent stream and a partially-treated gas stream. Carbon dioxide (CO2) and H2S are separated from the partially-treated gas stream in a membrane separation system, thereby creating a fully-treated gas stream and a permeate gas stream, the permeate gas stream being comprised primarily of H2S and CO2, and the fully-treated gas stream being comprised primarily of natural gas. The fully-treated gas stream and the permeate gas stream are at a lower temperature than the partially-treated gas stream. The fully-treated gas stream and the permeate gas stream comprise the one or more process streams.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 13, 2018Publication date: February 21, 2019Inventors: David W. Publication number: 20190054458Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for extracting a plurality of materials from a solution. These include a plurality of extraction devices. The extraction devices use a resin suspended above at least one screen, and the resin is used to extract at least one material from a fluid. A liquid is forced through the plurality of extraction devices and a separate material is extracted in each of the extraction devices. The resin is selected for each of the extraction devices and is based upon the material for which that extraction device is designed to remove from the fluid. Each of the extraction devices operate in series to remove at least one material from the fluid.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 6, 2018Publication date: February 21, 2019Inventors: Paul Goranson, Sammy J. Publication number: 20190054459Abstract: A controlled environment enclosure comprises a robotic arm manipulation system used to protect and unprotect a fluid path within the controlled environment enclosure. The apparatus allows the fluid path to be protected against dangerous decontamination vapors and chemicals before the controlled environment enclosure is decontaminated, the method not requiring the use of gloves or other means that degrade the integrity of the controlled environment enclosure. The apparatus similarly allows the fluid path to be unprotected for use without the use of gloves, the method not requiring the use of gloves or other means that degrade the integrity of the controlled environment enclosure when decontaminated is completed.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 18, 2018Publication date: February 21, 2019Inventors: Christopher A. Publication number: 20190054461Abstract: A multi-use combined micro and nanowell plate may provide nanowell arrays within the individual microwells of the plate. One or more microwells of the plate may provide an array of nanowells disposed at the bottom of the microwell. The combined micro and nanowell plate may be formed from a top frame with voids defining the microwells, and a bottom plate with voids defining the array of nanowells. When the top frame and the bottom plate are joined, the nanowell arrays may be aligned with the microwells to provide a combined micro/nanowell.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2016Publication date: February 21, 2019Applicant: UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON SYSTEMInventor: Navin Varadarajan

Publication number: 20190054462Abstract: A portable liquid measuring and filtering device includes a measuring channel, at least one sensor, at least one actuating device and a filtering element. The measuring channel is used for allowing a target liquid to flow therethrough. The at least one sensor is disposed within the measuring channel for measuring the target liquid. The at least one actuating device is in communication with the measuring channel for transferring the target liquid. The filtering element is disposed within the measuring channel and arranged adjacent to the at least one actuating device for filtering the target liquid. If a measuring result of the sensor indicates that a monitored value of the target liquid is abnormal, the actuating device is enabled to transfer the target liquid. Consequently, the target liquid is filtered by the filtering element.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 23, 2018Publication date: February 21, 2019Applicant: Microjet Technology Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hao-Jan MOU, Ta-Wei HSUEH, Shih-Chang CHEN, Li-Pang MO, Ching-Sung LIN, Yung-Lung HAN, Chi-Feng HUANG, Wei-Ming LEE
