  • Publication number: 20190112896
Abstract: A sleeve assembly has a sleeve axially moveable within a housing, the sleeve being positively locatable within a wellbore for reliable axial shifting of the sleeve between an uphole position and a downhole position. Stops and shoulders, which delimit the shifting of the sleeve between open and closed positions, are located in an annulus between the sleeve and the housing. Uphole and downhole ends of the sleeve and the housing have opposing ramps formed thereon. Locating shifting tools run through the sleeve assembly are engageable only in a locating profile in the sleeve and cannot engage in the annular stops or in gaps formed in the bore, uphole and downhole of the sleeve, as the ramps act to guide the locating tool therethrough. As the uphole and downhole sleeve ramps converge toward either of the uphole or downhole housing ramps during shifting thereof, debris is diverted into the bore allowing the sleeve to shift fully uphole or downhole.

The present invention relates to oil production technologies, namely methods for conducting, interpreting and analyzing the results of hydrodynamic tests in the area of each well. A three-dimensional hydrodynamic model is formed, then the PCT is modeled, then an optimal test design is selected, then a fishery test is carried out in the above scenario and reservoir filtration parameters are determined by interpreting the data, ultimately updating the hydrodynamic model taking into account the data determined in the previous step.

Abstract: The invention provides techniques that relate to horizontal well completions that facilitate multistage fracturing, for example, in shale gas reservoirs. Aspects of these techniques involve the creation of large scale fracture networks, connecting the reservoir and the wellbore, facilitated by activating pre-existing natural fractures (NFs). Taking into account selected shale formation geo-mechanical characteristics facilitates the optimization of maximum stimulated reservoir volumes (SRVs). In particular, completion optimization patterns are provided for horizontal wellbores, designated herein as altered alternate fracturing (AAF) completions. Aspects of this approach involve a multi-step combination of simultaneous and alternate fracturing patterns. To illustrate aspects of optimization, the dynamic evolution and progression of NF growth are modeled using a variety of alternative criteria. In addition, specific analyses are provided of how the well completion pattern influences the fracture network.
