Abstract: In a water distribution network having at least one pump for distributing water over the network, the pump is driven by an electric motor and a variable speed device, and there is a device for operating the pump in phases. On starting the pump in a first starting phase the pump speed rises rapidly from zero to a threshold speed between zero and a maximum pump speed, in a second starting phase the threshold speed is maintained, in a third starting phase the pump speed is increased more slowly to a maximum speed, and in a fourth operating phase the maximum speed is maintained. On stopping the pump, in a first stopping phase the pump speed decreases gradually from a maximum speed to an intermediate speed, and in a second stopping phase the pump speed decreases rapidly from the intermediate speed to zero.

Abstract: A pneumatic pump control system includes a pump chamber having a top end and a bottom end, an air valve coupled to the top end of the pump chamber, and a discharge tube within the pump chamber. The discharge tube has a first end coupled to the top of the pump chamber, and a second end having a J-shape terminating in an opening facing the top of the pump chamber. An inlet check valve is positioned at the bottom end of the pump chamber to let the liquid into the pump chamber when the air valve is open. A discharge check valve is coupled to the opening of the discharge tube and is configured to open when a liquid level within the pump chamber rises above a predetermined high level. Compressed air introduced into the pump chamber forces the liquid into the discharge tube and out of the pump chamber.

Abstract: An improved bushing restricts exhaust at a lube transfer port and exhaust ports equalizing bushing lube PSI with lube supply PSI. A hole or pair of holes in the bushing with an area equal to that of the lube supply holes in a center support regulates an intermediate pressure to the bushings of 50% of the supply pressure on its own, regardless of the balance piston. When the balance piston is filled, the added resistance at the transfer orifices will begin to equalize bushing lube PSI with lube supply PSI. When the balance piston exhaust ports are also restricted, as with an increased height of the bushing and installation site, equalization is insured and bushing lube PSI becomes that of the supply PSI.

Abstract: A pitch bearing for coupling a rotor blade to a hub of a wind turbine includes an outer race configured to be coupled to the hub, an inner race rotatable relative to the outer race and configured to be coupled to the rotor blade, and a first plurality of line contact rolling elements. The outer race defines a first outer raceway wall and the inner race defines a first inner raceway wall. The first plurality of line contact rolling elements is disposed between the first inner and outer raceway walls. Each of the plurality of line contact rolling elements defines a predetermined contact angle. The predetermined contact angle is defined as an angle between a reference line extending perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of one of the plurality of line contact rolling elements and a reference line extending parallel to a horizontal plane of the pitch bearing. Further, the predetermined contact angle includes angles between 0 degrees (°) and 90°.

An insertion hole is radially formed in the differential pinion shaft. The holder is formed with a fixing hole facing the insertion hole when the differential pinion shaft is inserted through the holder. Abstract: A reciprocating action drive having a magnetically sprung overrunning clutch with sprags that contain permanent magnets, is disclosed. The overrunning clutch has inner and outer shafts disposed to rotate about a common axis, and pivoting sprags that incorporate a permanent magnet, located between them. The sprags are shaped and sized, and located and sprung by magnetic attraction, such that the shafts rotate freely past each other in one direction, but lock together when attempted to be rotated in an opposite, lockup direction. A drive shaft is connected to either the inner or outer shaft of the overrunning clutch, and a lever arm is connected to the other shaft. When the lever arm is moved in a first rotational direction, the drive shaft is driven in that same direction.
